Local refinement based on the 7-triangle longest-edge partition [PDF]
The triangle longest-edge bisection constitutes an efficient scheme for refining a mesh by reducing the obtuse triangles, since the largest interior angles are subdivided.

The Quick Measure of a Nurbs Surface Curvature for Accurate Triangular Meshing
NURBS surfaces are the most widely used surfaces for three-dimensional models in CAD/ CAE programs. When a model for FEM calculation is prepared with a CAD program it is inevitable to mesh it finally. There are many algorithms for meshing planar regions.

Fast Tetrahedral Meshing in the Wild [PDF]
We propose a new tetrahedral meshing method, fTetWild, to convert triangle soups into high-quality tetrahedral meshes. Our method builds on the TetWild algorithm, replacing the rational triangle insertion with a new incremental approach to construct and optimize the output mesh, interleaving triangle insertion and mesh optimization.

Effect of Mesh Shape and Turbulence Model on Aerodynamic Performance at NACA 4415 [PDF]
This study uses three turbulence model variations, i.e., S - A, k - ε, and k – ω turbulence models. In addition, there are two variations of cell shape and three variations of cell number. The number of cells is 500, 5000, 50000, and 100000. Verification

Obtuse triangle suppression in anisotropic meshes
Anisotropic triangle meshes are used for efficient approximation of surfaces and flow data in finite element analysis, and in these applications it is desirable to have as few obtuse triangles as possible to reduce the discretization error. We present a variational approach to suppressing obtuse triangles in anisotropic meshes.

Streaming compression of triangle meshes [PDF]
Current mesh compression schemes encode triangles and vertices in an order derived from systematically traversing the connectivity graph. These schemes struggle with gigabyte-sized mesh input where the construction and the usage of the data structures that support topological traversal queries become I/O-inefficient and require large amounts of ...

SplattingAvatar: Realistic Real-Time Human Avatars With Mesh-Embedded Gaussian Splatting [PDF]
We present SplattingAvatar, a hybrid 3D representation of photorealistic human avatars with Gaussian Splatting em-bedded on a triangle mesh, which renders over 300 FPS on a modern GPU and 30 FPS on a mobile device.

Momentary finite element for elasticity 3D problems [PDF]
A description of a new 8-node finite element in the form of a hexahedron is given for solving elasticity 3D problems. This finite element has the following features. This is a linear approximation of functions in the element, one point of integration and

Conformal Generative Modeling on Triangulated Surfaces [PDF]
We propose conformal generative modeling, a framework for generative modeling on 2D surfaces approximated by discrete triangle meshes. Our approach leverages advances in discrete conformal geometry to develop a map from a source triangle mesh to a target triangle mesh of a simple manifold such as a sphere.
