Construction of a CO2‐Fixing Compartment Using a Shape‐Transforming DNA Scaffold

open access: yesChemistry – A European Journal, EarlyView.
A shape‐transforming DNA scaffold encapsulates RuBisCO within a controllable, self‐contacting compartment that mimics the carboxysome. The scaffold switches between open and closed states, enabling direct comparison of identical enzyme populations in different microenvironments.

Further Results on the 3-Consecutive Vertex Coloring Number of Certain Graphs

open access: yesIEEE Access
A 3-consecutive vertex coloring is an assignment of colors on vertices of a graph G such that for any 3-consecutive vertices $a, b$ and c, the color of b is the same as the color of a or c.

Finite temperature properties of the triangular lattice t-J model, applications to Na$_x$CoO$_2$

open access: yes, 2006
We present a finite temperature ($T$) study of the t-J model on the two-dimensional triangular lattice for the negative hopping $t$, as relevant for the electron-doped Na$_x$CoO$_2$ (NCO).

Study on the Energy Evolution and Stability of Roadway Surrounding Rock Under the “Simultaneous Mining–Driving” Condition

open access: yesEnergy Science &Engineering, EarlyView.
Based on theoretical analysis, the energy‐evolution behavior of the surrounding rock at various depths on the solid‐coal side of the 221303 material roadway during the “advancing‐toward‐mining” process was first clarified. Numerical simulations were then performed to validate and elaborate on the theoretical results.

Diagnosis of Amniotic Sac Herniation Into Uterine Dehiscence Using Combined Ultrasound and Magnetic Resonance Imaging—A Rare Complication Following Fetoscopic Laser Photocoagulation

open access: yesJournal of Clinical Ultrasound, EarlyView.
Fistula of the anterior uterine wall, through which the amniotic sac of the recipient communicated with the anechoic area outside the uterus (left: ultrasound imaging; right: MRI imaging; star: amniotic sac herniation; arrow: fistula; triangle: bladder).

Asymptotic Limits and Zeros of Chromatic Polynomials and Ground State Entropy of Potts Antiferromagnets

open access: yes, 1997
We study the asymptotic limiting function $W({G},q) = \lim_{n \to \infty}P(G,q)^{1/n}$, where $P(G,q)$ is the chromatic polynomial for a graph $G$ with $n$ vertices. We first discuss a subtlety in the definition of $W({G},q)$ resulting from the fact that

Triangular Ladders $P_{d,2}$ are $e$-positive

open access: yes, 2018
In 1995 Stanley conjectured that the chromatic symmetric functions of the graphs $P_{d,2}$, which we call triangular ladders, were $e$-positive. In this paper we confirm this conjecture, which is also an unsolved case of the celebrated $(3+1)$-free conjecture.

Increased expression of aromatase after focal cerebral ischemia: Relevance to neuroprotection and functional recovery

open access: yesNeuroprotection, EarlyView.
Abstract Aim Aromatase is the key enzyme in the biosynthesis of 17β‐estradiol, the most potent estrogen, which has pleiotropic neuroprotective properties. Aromatase levels increase in the brain after stroke, and its gene variants increase susceptibility to stroke. This study aims to determine whether aromatase overexpression improves stroke outcome and
