Infinite Lexicographic Products of Triangular Algebras [PDF]
Some new connections are given between linear orderings and triangular operator algebras. A lexicograhic product is defined for triangular operator algebras and the Jacobson radical of an infinite lexicographic product of upper triangular matrix algebras is determined.

Globally analytic triangularization of a matrix function
AbstractA well-known fundamental theorem of Schur guarantees that every constant matrix A is unitarily similar to a triangular matrix. If A(t) is a matrix-valued function analytic on [a, b] with real eigenvalues, it is shown in this paper via a constructive algorithm that there exists a unitary matrix U(t) analytic on [a, b] such that U∗(t)A(t)U(t) is ...

This study explores aerosol jet‐printed (AJP) surface roughness, its effects on the performance of microwave electronics, and its process contributors. First, an electromagnetic model is vetted for AJP's unique roughness signature. Simulations are built which show process‐induced roughness is as significant as conductor resistivity in driving microwave

Involutions for upper triangular matrix algebras
AbstractIn this paper we describe completely the involutions of the first kind of the algebra UTn(F) of n×n upper triangular matrices. Every such involution can be extended uniquely to an involution on the full matrix algebra. We describe the equivalence classes of involutions on the upper triangular matrices.

High‐Entropy Ti, Zr, Hf, Ta Multiphase Diboride with Deformation Resistance up to 2000 °C
Ceramics are brittle and strength decreases with temperature. The multiphase high‐entropy (Ti0.25Ta0.25Hf0.25Zr0.25)B2 with heterogeneity at the nano‐ and microscale demonstrates deformation resistance up to 2000 °C, with maximum bending strength at 1800 °C.

Derived Equivalences of Upper Triangular Differential Graded Algebras [PDF]
This paper generalises a result for upper triangular matrix rings to the situation of upper triangular matrix DGA's. An upper triangular matrix DGA has the form (R,S,M) where R and S are differential graded algebras and M is a DG-left-R-right-S-bimodule. We show that under certain conditions on the DG-module M and with the existance of a DG-R-module X,

On the Segre characteristic of a block triangular matrix
AbstractConsider two complex matrices A and B of sizes n×n and m×m respectively, and let λ be an eigenvalue of both matrices. If α=(n1,n2) and β=(m1,m2) are the Segre characteristics associated with λ of A and B, respectively, and γ=(r1,r2,r3,r4) is a nonincreasing sequence of nonnegative integers, then a method for determining when γ is the Segre ...

From Nature to Engineering: Mortar Volume and Interfacial Mechanics in Bioinspired Ceramics
Inspired by natural armors like nacre, this study explores how varying the volume fraction of the soft mortar layer impacts the interfacial strength and toughness of bioinspired ceramics. Experimental and computational analysis reveals that higher mortar volumes increase energy dissipation but reduce interfacial stiffness, offering insights for ...
