Smooth surface and triangular mesh
Proceedings of the seventh ACM symposium on Solid modeling and applications, 2002Replacing a smooth surface with a triangular mesh (i.e., a polyedron) "close to it" leads to some errors. The geometric properties of the triangular mesh can be very different from the geometric properties of the smooth surface, even if both surfaces are very close from one another.

Optimization of a triangular mesh
Computers & Structures, 1991Abstract This paper describes a scheme for finite element mesh generation of a multiply connected, non-convex polygon. The scheme combines a non-random node generation technique and the Delaunay triangulation method for element generation to yield a mesh with optimal shaped elements.

MeshAvatar: Learning High-quality Triangular Human Avatars from Multi-view Videos
European Conference on Computer VisionWe present a novel pipeline for learning high-quality triangular human avatars from multi-view videos. Recent methods for avatar learning are typically based on neural radiance fields (NeRF), which is not compatible with traditional graphics pipeline and

Composite Schemes on Triangular Meshes
2001The composite schemes are given by the global composition of several steps of Lax-Wendroff scheme followed by one step of Lax-Ftiendrichs scheme bringing sufficient diffusion to smooth out dispersive Lax-Wendroff oscilations. The composite schemes are generalized to triangular mesh by finite volume approach.

MAC Schemes on Triangular Meshes
2011We present numerical results for two generalized MAC schemes on triangular meshes, which are based on staggered meshes using the Delaunay–Voronoi duality. In the first one, the pressures are defined at the vertices of the mesh, and the discrete velocities are tangential to the edges of the triangles.

Image Registration Using Triangular Mesh
2004Image registration is a fundamental problem in the area of computer vision and has been extensively researched. Different image registration algorithm has its pros and cons. Unlike most of the algorithms, our approach defines a set of feature points uniformly distributed on the image. The feature points are linked up as nodes in a triangular mesh.

CIP Advection on Triangular Mesh
1995As an universal solver of compressible and incompressible fluid, CIP (Cubic Interpolated Propagation) has been proposed[1–3], and good results were obtained successfully in many application problems[4,5]. All of these were based on structured square-shaped meshes in two- and three-dimensional cases.
