The effect of weathering process to determination of residual shear strength of clay shale with triaxial multi-stage system [PDF]
The slope failure on clay shale with many joints under a layer of tuff breccia shortly after stress release due to cutting activity have triggered the need to investigate clay shale residual shear strength.

An intracellular magneto‐mechanical platform utilizing MSC‐targeted nanomotors is developed. After intra‐articular delivery, these nanomotors target endogenous BMSCs and are actuated within lysosomes to execute trans‐planar rotational‐bouncing motions under a rotating‐fluctuating 3D magnetic field, generating amplified mechanical stimulation.

Experimental studies of scale effects on shear strength, and deformation of rock joints [PDF]
The effect of scale on shear strength is studied by performing direct shear tests on different sized samples of large joints. A rubber moulding system is used to obtain impressions of the roughness from a variety of natural joint surfaces.

Critical expansion points: Mechanical signs of surrounding rock instability
This study proposes the Rock Bearing‐Expansion Model (RockBEM) with critical expansion points (CEPs) to quantify post‐peak damage stages in deep‐buried rock masses via plane strain compression test (PSCT). CEP hysteresis&interval ratios reveal bearing performance dynamics and failure severity, advancing mechanistic insights into deep underground rock ...
