Uniformly rotating, axisymmetric and triaxial quark stars in general relativity

open access: yes, 2017
Quasi-equilibrium models of uniformly rotating axisymmetric and triaxial quark stars are computed in general relativistic gravity scenario. The Isenberg-Wilson-Mathews (IWM) formulation is employed and the Compact Object CALculator (COCAL) code is ...

Modeling the gravitational potential of a cosmological dark matter halo with stellar streams [PDF]

open access: yes, 2016
Stellar streams result from the tidal disruption of satellites and star clusters as they orbit a host galaxy, and can be very sensitive probes of the gravitational potential of the host system. We select and study narrow stellar streams formed in a Milky-

Corrosion effect of hydrochloric acid on the granite: Insights from electrical conductivity, mineral composition, and tensile behavior

open access: yesDeep Underground Science and Engineering, EarlyView.
The evolution of electrical conductivity, mineral composition, and tensile behavior such as peak strength, average stiffness, and the energy evolution of the granite specimen under different HCl conditions are studied, analyzed as well as quantified, and investigated, respectively.

Experimental study on dynamic behavior analysis of coal and its acoustic emission response characteristics under impact failure

open access: yesDeep Underground Science and Engineering, EarlyView.
Based on acoustic emission response characteristics, it can be more accurate to identify the damage evolution process of coal under the combined dynamic and static loads, reveal the moment corresponding to coal damage, and identify the characteristics of coal failure. The research results are conducive to the further use of acoustic emission monitoring

Study on the Estimation of Rock Rheological Parameters under Multi-level Loading and Unloading Conditions

open access: yesMATEC Web of Conferences, 2018
Determining reasonable rheological constitutive models based on laboratory rock creep test data and estimating rheological parameters are important means of studying rheological mechanical property of rocks. Previous rock uniaxial or triaxial compression

Micromechanical analysis of kinematic hardening in natural clay [PDF]

open access: yes, 2009
This paper presents a micromechanical analysis of the macroscopic behaviour of natural clay. A microstructural stress-strain model for clayey material has been developed which considers clay as a collection of clusters.

Microscopic time‐dependent mechanical behavior of shale derived from nanoindentation

open access: yesDeep Underground Science and Engineering, EarlyView.
This study conducted grid nanoindentation creep tests to systematically analyze the microscopic creep behaviors of shale. Based on the analysis of creep strain rate sensitivity, the primary mechanism of microscopic creep in shale was found to be the extension and closure of microcracks.
