Observable properties of E0 triaxial galaxies - A test for triaxiality
It is shown that most triaxial galaxies oriented in space to appear as E0 galaxies should have observable rotation velocities. By projecting Levison and Richstone's (1987) triaxial models so that they look like E0s, it was found that v/sigma can be as large as 1.0.

The interpretation of advanced triaxial tests for the assessment of small strain stiffness [PDF]
The measurement of small strain stiffness of soils is affected by the techniques and procedures used in advanced triaxial tests, including the connection between the internal load cell and the sample top platen, the resolution of the instrumentation, the

Comparison of Cyclic Triaxial Tests with Constant and Variable Cell Pressure
Cyclic triaxial tests are often used to evaluate the behavior of soils under seismic loads. The stress conditions imposed on a soil specimen during a cyclic triaxial test, however, are very different than those acting on an element of soil during an ...

Stiffness moduli in triaxial tests on a loess-sand mixture [PDF]
Stiffness is one of the most important characteristics of geomaterials, and at the same time one of the most difficult to evaluate. It can be described by means of various stress-strain moduli, whose values strongly depend on the strain range and on the ...
