Cylindrical Rotating Triboelectric Nanogenerator

ACS Nano, 2013
We demonstrate a cylindrical rotating triboelectric nanogenerator (TENG) based on sliding electrification for harvesting mechanical energy from rotational motion. The rotating TENG is based on a core-shell structure that is made of distinctly different triboelectric materials with alternative strip structures on the surface.

Triboelectric Nanogenerator: Freestanding Triboelectric-Layer Mode

2016
In this chapter, the freestanding triboelectric-layer mode of TENG (F-TENG or FT mode TENG) is presented. In this mode, a moving object is naturally charged due to its contact with air or another object. The charges remain on the surface for a long period of time, and a periodic contact or friction is unnecessary within this period of time because the ...

Flexible triboelectric generator

Nano Energy, 2012
Abstract Charges induced in triboelectric process are usually referred as a negative effect either in scientific research or technological applications, and they are wasted energy in many cases. Here, we demonstrate a simple, low cost and effective approach of using the charging process in friction to convert mechanical energy into electric power for

Triboelectric Sensing Systems

Proceedings II of the 27st Conference STUDENT EEICT 2021, 2021
Triboelectric phenomenon, historically, is one of many problems which engineers wantedto be avoid. However nowadays this phenomenon seems to be useful source of electrical signalfor displacement measurement. In this work all sensing elements are made from pure PVDF byelectrospinning manufacturing method. Nano fibres, which are result of the process are

Laser-Induced Graphene Triboelectric Nanogenerators

ACS Nano, 2019
Triboelectric nanogenerators (TENGs) show exceptional promise for converting wasted mechanical energy into electrical energy. This study investigates the use of laser-induced graphene (LIG) composites as an exciting class of triboelectric materials in TENGs. Infrared laser irradiation is used to convert the surfaces of the two carbon sources, polyimide

Triboelectric filtering for air purification

Nanotechnology, 2019
Air pollution becomes more and more serious with the rapid development of the society, and the haze caused by particulate matters (PMs) has become a global problem. Thus seeking an effective technology for removing the airborne PMs or other pollutants is much desirable for alleviating the air pollution.

Recyclable and Green Triboelectric Nanogenerator

Advanced Materials, 2016
A recyclable and green triboelectronic nanogenerator (TENG) is developed based on triboelectrification and designed cascade reactions. Once triggered by water, the TENG can fully dissolve and degrade into environmentally benign end products. With features of rapid dissolution, reproductivity, and green electronic, the TENG has potential of serving as ...
