Coal-Clay Triboelectrification
IEEE Transactions on Industry Applications, 1985Experimental results are presented for the triboelectrification of coal-clay specimens in air at 20°C and 20.7 kPa. The coal was a vitrinite from Hat Creek, BC, and the clays were relatively pure kaolinite and montmorillonite. The cumulative charge after 100 contacts was much greater for kaolinite than montmorillonite in contact with the coal; however,

Triboelectrification between a variety of woods and polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) is studied. The saturation charge developed on a PTFE sphere rolling on inclined planes of 11 different commercially available woods was measured. The results suggest that the saturation charge levels are positively correlated with the area of contact.

Effects of initial charge on triboelectrification of plastics
Waste Management, 2023Plastic recycling is one of the most economical and environment-friendly solutions for effective plastic waste management. Triboelectric separation is one of beneficial methods to accomplish this. A method and device capable of analyzing the triboelectrification of materials with specific initial charges are proposed in this study.

Fingerprint-inspired triboelectrific sliding sensor
2018 IEEE Micro Electro Mechanical Systems (MEMS), 2018Inspired by the structure of human fingerprint, a novel sliding sensor composed of four spiral and alternate electrodes is presented in this work. Based on triboelectric and electrostatic induction effects, four electrodes generate voltage signals one after another when an external object move across the surfacce.

Triboelectrification in fluidized bed of polystyrene
Chemical Engineering Science, 1989Abstract A special method of electric charge measurements on single polystyrene in a fluidized bed was used. The method consisted in an analysis of the trajectory of particles ejected from the bed into a homogenous electric field by means of a local pneumatic impulse.

Mechanism of triboelectrification in xerographic toner
Proceedings of 1994 IEEE Industry Applications Society Annual Meeting, 2002The triboelectrification mechanism of a xerographic toner has been studied using a model toner prepared by solution coating a negative charge control additive, cesium 3,5-di-t-butylsalicylate (0.15% by wt.), on the surface of 9 /spl mu/m styrene-butadiene toner particles.

Triboelectrification Based Motion Sensor for Human-Machine Interfacing
ACS Applied Materials & Interfaces, 2014We present triboelectrification based, flexible, reusable, and skin-friendly dry biopotential electrode arrays as motion sensors for tracking muscle motion and human-machine interfacing (HMI). The independently addressable, self-powered sensor arrays have been utilized to record the electric output signals as a mapping figure to accurately identify the
