Morphometric‐Assisted Prediction of Developmental Toxicity Using Stem Cell‐Based Embryo Models in Microwells

open access: yesAdvanced Healthcare Materials, Volume 14, Issue 15, 10 June, 2025.
This proof‐of‐concept study involves high‐throughput teratogenicity screening of compounds using XEn/EpiCs, a 3D stem cell‐based embryo model, within microwells. The term ‘morphotoxicity’ is introduced to complement traditional cytotoxicity assays through automated feature extraction and machine‐learning‐assisted classification of morphologies.

Epichlöe festucae endophyte mediated maternal inheritance of dollar spot disease resistance in hard fescue

open access: yesCrop Science, Volume 65, Issue 2, March/April 2025.
Abstract Hard fescue (Festuca brevipila) is a fine‐leaved cool‐season turfgrass and is well adapted for low‐maintenance areas, such as home lawns, parks, and roadsides. Breeding for improved disease resistance is a major objective in utilizing hard fescue under low‐input management.

Histopathologic changes in the kidney tissue of Prochilodus lineatus Valenciennes, 1836 (Characiformes, Prochilodontidae) induced by sublethal concentration of Trichlorfon exposure

open access: yesBrazilian Archives of Biology and Technology, 2002
Studies were carried out to analyse the kidney histopathological alterations of "curimbatá", Prochilodus lineatus, were analyzed. An acute bioassay was made by the water contamination with 0.2muml/l of Dipterex 500 (Trichlorfon).

Disease Prevalence, Usage of Aquaculture Medicinal Products and Their Sustainable Alternatives in Freshwater Aquaculture of North‐Central Bangladesh

open access: yesVeterinary Medicine and Science, Volume 11, Issue 2, March 2025.
This study reports a widespread use and misuse of aquaculture medicinal products (AMPs) in North‐Central Bangladesh. This raised concerns about antimicrobial resistance (AMR) as well as environmental impacts. As an alternative to AMPs, farmers adopting probiotics and fermented products reported improved fish growth, reduced costs and fewer disease ...

The Effect of Levamisole on Sheep Trachea Alone and With Trichlorfon Combination

open access: yesPakistan Journal of Biological Sciences, 2008
The aim of this study is to determine the effect of levamisole and levamisole-trichlorfon combination on isolated sheep trachea. Contraction was achieved with levamisole concentrations (10(-8)-10(-3) M) on tracheal strips of adult sheep (> 1 year of age). Pretreatment with trichlorfon (10(-7) M)-levamisole (10(-7) M) decreased the pD2 and E(max) of Ach
