Trichlorfon-induced haematological and biochemical changes in Cyprinus carpio: ameliorative effect of propolis [PDF]
Trichlorfon is among the most commonly used products to treat fish parasites in aquaculture. We investigated the effectiveness of propolis in alleviating the toxicity of trichlorfon on haematological and oxidant/antioxidant parameters in carp Cyprinus ...

The dose-response relationship of trichlorfon neurotoxicity in hens
Abstract Trichlorfon [dimethyl 1-hydroxy-2,2,2-trichloroethyl phosphonate (Dipterex)], an organophosphorus pesticide, has been implicated in producing neuropathy in various species. Adult hens were given oral or subcutaneous doses ranging from 50 to 300 mg/kg.

This study investigated the effects of low and high polarity extracts (LPE and HPE) of Angelica sinensis (AS) on growth, body composition, and metabolism in carp (Cyprinus carpio var. Jian). Over a 42‐day period, 780 fish were randomly separated into 13 groups with three replicate aquariums respectively.

A low dose of an organophosphate insecticide causes dysbiosis and sex-dependent responses in the intestinal microbiota of the Japanese quail (Coturnix japonica) [PDF]
Organophosphate insecticides have been directly or indirectly implicated in avian populations declining worldwide. Birds in agricultural environments are commonly exposed to these insecticides, mainly through ingestion of invertebrates after insecticide ...

This proof‐of‐concept study involves high‐throughput teratogenicity screening of compounds using XEn/EpiCs, a 3D stem cell‐based embryo model, within microwells. The term ‘morphotoxicity’ is introduced to complement traditional cytotoxicity assays through automated feature extraction and machine‐learning‐assisted classification of morphologies.
