A preliminary taxonomic study was carried out on seven Acanthaceae species namely as Andrographis paniculata, Pseuderanthemum graciliflorum, P. carruthersii, Asystasia gangetica ssp. micrantha, Ruellia repens, Justicia comata and J. betonica.
