Four species are considered valid for the genus Impalaia--I. tuberculata Mönnig, 1923, I. nudicollis Mönnig, 1931, I. okapiae van den Berghe, 1937 and I. taurotragi (Le Roux, 1936) Travassos, 1937. I. tuberculata var. longispiculata Wetzel and Fortmeyer- 1960 and I. aegyptiaca Soliman, 1958 are considered synonyms of I. tuberculata Mönnig, 1923.
