Tricuspid regurgitation after horse’s hoof kick into the chest
Background: Traumatic tricuspid valve regurgitation (TR) is usually a result of blunt chest trauma. Clinical picture largely depends on the severity of the new-onset TR; untreated tricuspid valve injury frequently results in chronic right-sided heart ...

This study reports a 25.2% incidence of acute pericardial effusion following vein of Marshall ethanol infusion for persistent atrial fibrillation. The extent of the resulting low‐voltage area was identified as an independent predictor of pericardial effusion, reflecting the magnitude of chemical injury.

Patients aged ≥ 80 years with atrial fibrillation underwent catheter ablation. At 2 years, the recurrence‐free survival rate was 85.8% in paroxysmal AF and 63.6% in persistent AF (p = 0.024), and periprocedural complications occurred in 12.0%, including severe complications in 3.3%.
