BackgroundSevere tricuspid regurgitation is associated with poor prognosis; however, there are limited Class I indications for intervention, and high–surgical risk patients may go untreated. We report the first-in-human successful transcatheter tricuspid

Techniques to repair parachute tricuspid valve
Journal of Cardiac Surgery, 2021Parachute deformity of atrioventricular valve occurs when chordae tendineae arise either from one papillary muscle or a closely placed muscle group. Preoperative detection is easier with mitral involvement than with tricuspid valve. We present two cases of parachute tricuspid valve (PTV) which were successfully repaired.

Tricuspid valve repair for tricuspid valve endocarditis: Tricuspid valve “recycling”
The Annals of Thoracic Surgery, 1991Tricuspid valve endocarditis traditionally has been treated with either valve excision or valve replacement. To avoid implantation of foreign material in an infected field, we have applied the principles of mitral valve repair to 4 patients with tricuspid valve endocarditis.

Tricuspid valve repair with echocardiographic guiding
The Journal of Cardiovascular Surgery, 2022In this study we discuss the conditions of four patients with severe tricuspid valve (TV) regurgitation, in which a differentiated intraoperative transesophageal echocardiographic (TEE) analysis - as performed in TV-clipping procedures - provided major guidance for refined TV repair.Between January 2019 and March 2020, four patients with central ...

Tricuspid Valve Repair in a Mountaineer
The Annals of Thoracic Surgery, 1998Lord Hunt of Everest presented with aortic stenosis but predominant right ventricular failure. He was found to have signs of pulmonary hypertension with a dilated right ventricle, severe tricuspid regurgitation, and right atrial hypertrophy in the absence of elevated pulmonary artery pressures.

Current Problems in Cardiology, 2023
Data on clinical outcomes of transcatheter tricuspid valve repair (TTVR) compared with surgical tricuspid valve repair (STVR) in patients with tricuspid valve regurgitation (TVR) remains limited. Data from the national inpatient sample (2016-2020) and propensity-score matched (PSM) analysis was utilized to determine adjusted odds ratio (aOR) of ...

Repair of tricuspid valve regurgitation due to a tricuspid valve cleft
Asian Cardiovascular and Thoracic Annals, 2019A cleft in the tricuspid valve, classified as congenital dysplasia, is a rare disease. Here, we report the case of a 79-year-old man with tricuspid regurgitation due to a cleft in the anterior leaflet. The patient underwent successful tricuspid valve repair with cleft closure, chordal reconstruction, and tricuspid annuloplasty.

Tricuspid Valve Repair at Pulmonary Valve Replacement in Repaired Tetralogy of Fallot
Pediatric Cardiology, 2021Pulmonary valve replacement (PVR) is often performed in patients with repaired tetralogy of Fallot (TOF). Concomitant tricuspid valvuloplasty (TVP) in those with tricuspid regurgitation (TR) at the time of PVR is still controversial. We retrospectively reviewed clinical records of patients who underwent PVR between 2001 and 2012.

Tricuspid autograft for mitral-valve repair
The Lancet, 1996Transferring the posterior leaflet of the patient's own tricuspid valve with its subvalvular apparatus to the mitral valve is a new technique that allows a conservative approach to mitral-valve repair. The technique is based on the knowledge that the tricuspid valve can be remodelled from tricuspid to bicuspid, with a very low risk of significant ...

Tricuspid valve surgery: repair and replacement
Minerva Cardioangiologica, 2018The tricuspid valve has historically received less attention than any other cardiac valve with regard to pathophysiology and surgical management. The tricuspid valve is part of a complex functional apparatus that includes the right atrium, right ventricle, and pulmonary circulation.
