Automated Crossdating With a Modified Version of the Dendrochronology Program CROS
ABSTRACT The basic principle of dendrochronology involves matching patterns of tree‐ring widths, with the objective of dating wood of unknown age. The various crossdating procedures rely on statistical methods. The legacy CROS program written in FORTRAN IV contains algorithms, variants of which have been incorporated into modern crossdating programs ...

Approach to the Core Structure of Signermycin B
Among the natural tetramic acids with a decalinoyl part, signermycin B is unique because it contains a cis‐decalin. In this paper, we demonstrate that the cis‐decalin section of signermycin B can be accessed by an anionic oxy‐Cope rearrangement.

Uniquely identifying the vertices of pendant-free tricyclic graphs
Planar interconnection networks are essential in VLSI circuit design because they provide efficient layouts that minimize wire use, reduce manufacturing costs, and prevent wire crossings.

We investigated neuropathological manifestations of hypothermia in 168 cases. Patients aged 65 years or more constituted 80% of the total cohort. Alzheimer's disease was the most common comorbidity, affecting 40% of all patients. Abstract There is a paucity of autopsy‐based studies providing detailed neuropathological characteristics of fatal ...

Allosteric modulation and direct activation of glycine receptors by a tricyclic sulfonamide
Ionotropic glycine receptors (GlyRs) are chloride-permeable ligand-gated ion channels expressed in the nervous system. Alterations to glycinergic inhibition and the generation of dysfunctional GlyRs have been linked to chronic pain, a widely prevalent ...

Preclinical models for evaluating psychedelics in the treatment of major depressive disorder
Psychedelic drugs have seen a resurgence in interest as a next generation of psychiatric medicines with potential as rapid‐acting antidepressants (RAADs). Despite promising early clinical trials, the mechanisms which underlie the effects of psychedelics are poorly understood.

Psychedelics, entactogens and psychoplastogens for depression and related disorders
Currently, the most actively investigated rapidly acting antidepressants, anxiolytics and/or anti PTSD agents, include psychedelics e.g. psilocybin, LSD, N,N‐dimethyltryptamine, ayahuasca; non‐hallucinogenic entactogens, e.g. MDMA; psychoplastogens which rapidly promote neuroplasticity, e.g.

Novel approaches for drug development against chronic primary pain: A systematic review
Abstract Chronic primary pain (CPP) persisting for more than 3 months, associated with significant emotional distress without any known underlying cause, is an unmet medical need. Traditional or adjuvant analgesics do not provide satisfactory pain relief for a great proportion of these patients.

Abstract Chronic pain, marked by nociceptive sensitization and maladaptive neuroplasticity, affects 30% of the global population with escalating socioeconomic burdens. Epidemiological data show a 2‐3‐fold increase in neuropsychiatric co‐morbidities among individuals with chronic pain, where epigenetic dysregulation serves as a key mechanism linking ...
