Lack of carcinogenicity of triethanolamine in F344 rats
Journal of Toxicology and Environmental Health, 1986The carcinogenic potential of triethanolamine was examined in F344 rats. Triethanolamine was dissolved in distilled water at levels of 0 (control), 1, and 2%, and groups of 50 males and 50 females were given these doses ad libitum as drinking water for 2 yr.

Polarographic Determinations in the Presence of Triethanolamine
Nature, 1946IN a communication in Nature, Mr. H. Wolfson1 reported that iron can be determined satisfactorily on the polarograph if the solution contains triethanolamine. This method seemed promising for the measurement of iron in small quantities, which has hitherto been practically impossible. It would be particularly suitable for use on biological materials and

Action of triethanolamine trinitrate in angina pectoris
American Heart Journal, 1954Abstract 1. 1. Triethanolamine trinitrate in a dose of 2.0 mg., four times a day by mouth, is no better than a placebo in the treatment of angina pectoris. 2. 2. Nitroglycerin, 2.0 mg., four times a day by mouth, was no better than placebo therapy. 3. 3. Both triethanolamine trinitrate and nitroglycerin were well tolerated. 4. 4.

Allergic Contact Dermatitis to Triethanolamine in a Child
Pediatric Dermatology, 2015AbstractTriethanolamine is used as an emulsifier in many cosmetics and in topical medications, yet the occurrence of contact dermatitis to cosmetics containing triethanolamine is rare in childhood. Our case highlights how young age should not be a deterrent to investigation and demonstrates the importance of patch testing with selected allergens.

Ototoxicity of Triethanolamine Polypeptide (Cerumenex) in the Chinchilla
The Laryngoscope, 2008AbstractThe use of earwax softeners and cerumenolytics to unblock the external auditory canal is increasing. Although reports on their effectiveness are available, data about their effect on hearing are limited. Objective: To assess the effect of ototopic triethanolamine polypeptide oleate condensate 10% (Cerumenex) on hearing.Study Design: Prospective,

CUTANEOUS HYPERSENSITIVITY TO TRIETHANOLAMINE
Archives of Dermatology and Syphilology, 1940Triethanolamine is extensively used in the manufacture of cosmetics and in dermatologic therapy. Maynard 1 has pointed out the value of its emulsifying and skin-softening properties when used in ointments and oily bases to facilitate their removal from hairy surfaces and to increase the penetration of medicaments into the skin.

Inorganic Chemistry, 2001
The reaction system composed of triethanolamine (TEA) and tetrathiovanadate in the presence of MeONa (MeOLi) or NaNH2 was studied to afford vanadium and alkali metal TEA complexes. Complexes [M subsetV6O6[N(CH2CH2O)2(CH2CH2OH)]6]2S6 (M = Na (1), Li (2)) contain two cyclic V((IV)) [12]metallacrown-6 cations linked by a polysulfide S6(2-) anion.
