New representations for the Mathieu series via the trigamma function
We derive new representations for the Mathieu series via the (second) logarithmic derivative of the Gamma function known as the trigamma function. Some further applications concerning the representation of Apery’s constant (3) are also presented.

Abstract Seed dispersal by endozoochory is essential to plant dynamics, but once released in the feces, the seeds face a hostile environment that is not always favorable to germination. Indeed, feces may contain inhibitors, have high seed density, and be densely structured.

Linear and nonlinear dirichlet share equations models [PDF]
An adequate stochastic model for shares as dependent variables is provided by the Dirichlet distribution. The paper considers two different parametrizations which lead to linear and nonlinear Dirichlet share equations.

A mechanical basis for chromosome function [PDF]
We propose that chromosome function is governed by internal mechanical forces generated by programmed tendencies for expansion of the DNA/chromatin fiber against constraining ...

Completely monotonic degree of a function involving trigamma and tetragamma functions
Let $ψ(x)$ be the di-gamma function, the logarithmic derivative of the classical Euler's gamma function $Γ(x)$. In the paper, the author shows that the completely monotonic degree of the function $[ψ'(x)]^2+ψ''(x)$ is $4$, surveys the history and motivation of the topic, supplies a proof for the claim that a function $f(x)$ is strongly completely ...

Derivatives of the Incomplete Beta Function [PDF]
The incomplete beta function is defined as where Beta(p, q) is the beta function. Dutka (1981) gave a history of the development and numerical evaluation of this function. In this article, an algorithm for computing first and second derivatives of Ix,p,q
