This chapter examines trigonometry. It starts with a discussion of angles and circular measure. An angle is a measure of rotation or turn, and it is usually specified in degrees. The chapter notes that, despite our familiarity with degrees, a circular measure that is often more useful in a mathematical context is a radian.

Summary: [For part I, cf. ibid. 1, 153-160 (1985; Zbl 0599.53010).] This paper considers geodesic triangles in a Riemannian manifold M. First we imbed the set \(\Sigma\) of geodesic triangles in M into a big space E, then find some equations in E satisfied by tangent vectors of \(\Sigma\). Finally we give an application of the result.
