Approximations to inverse tangent function
In this paper, we present a sharp Shafer-type inequality for the inverse tangent function. Based on the Padé approximation method, we give approximations to the inverse tangent function. Based on the obtained result, we establish new bounds for arctanx.

On obtaining classical mechanics from quantum mechanics [PDF]
Constructing a classical mechanical system associated with a given quantum mechanical one, entails construction of a classical phase space and a corresponding Hamiltonian function from the available quantum structures and a notion of coarser observations.

Multiple Twinning in Nacre and Aragonite
Electron backscatter diffraction map of a cluster of geologic aragonite, exhibiting single, double, and triple twins. The whole cluster is approximately 2 cm wide. Colors indicate crystal orientations, so that pixels where the a‐, b‐, and c‐axis is perpendicular to the image plane are green, red, and blue, respectively.

Approximation of functions by (C,2)(E,1) product summability method of Fourier series
Various investigators such as Leindler [10], Chandra [1], Mishra et al. [7], Khan [11], Kushwaha [6] have determined the degree of approximation of 2 pai-periodic functions belonging to generalized Lipschitz class of functions through trigonometric ...

Qualitative features of periodic solutions of KdV
In this paper we prove new qualitative features of solutions of KdV on the circle. The first result says that the Fourier coefficients of a solution of KdV in Sobolev space $H^N,\, N\geq 0$, admit a WKB type expansion up to first order with strongly ...

Stable Imitation of Multigait and Bipedal Motions for Quadrupedal Robots Over Uneven Terrains
How are quadrupedal robots empowered to execute complex navigation tasks, including multigait and bipedal motions? Challenges in stability and real‐world adaptation persist, especially with uneven terrains and disturbances. This article presents an imitation learning framework that enhances adaptability and robustness by incorporating long short‐term ...

Hardy-Littlewood theorem for series with general monotone coefficients
In this work we study trigonometric series with general monotone coefficients. Also, we consider Lqϕ ( Lq ) space. In particular, when ϕ ( t ) ≡ 1 the space Lqϕ ( Lq ) coincides with Lq .

Asymmetric Feature Maps with Application to Sketch Based Retrieval
We propose a novel concept of asymmetric feature maps (AFM), which allows to evaluate multiple kernels between a query and database entries without increasing the memory requirements.
