The isominwidth problem on the 2‐sphere
Abstract Pál's isominwidth theorem states that for a fixed minimal width, the regular triangle has minimal area. A spherical version of this theorem was proven by Bezdek and Blekherman, if the minimal width is at most π2$\tfrac{\pi }{2}$. If the width is greater than π2$\tfrac{\pi }{2}$, the regular triangle no longer minimizes the area at fixed ...

The location of a robot is a key aspect in the field of mobile robotics. This problem is particularly complex when the initial pose of the robot is unknown. In order to find a solution, it is necessary to perform a global localization. In this paper, we propose a method that addresses this problem using a coarse‐to‐fine solution.

This paper defines a strong convertible nonconvex (SCN) function for solving the unconstrained optimization problems with the nonconvex or nonsmooth (nondifferentiable) function. First, the concept of SCN function is defined, where the SCN functions are nonconvex or nonsmooth.

A new negative‐order form of the (3 + 1)‐dimensional Calogero–Bogoyavlenskii–Schiff equation is examined in this investigation. This equation plays an important role in accurately describing the thermodynamic properties of mixtures, particularly in chemical engineering applications.

In this study, the nonlinear partial differential equation that governs the free vibration of a carbon nanotube composite beam is analytically investigated using the truncated M‐fractional derivative. This model is a beam supported by a nonlinear viscoelastic base and reinforced by carbon nanotubes.
