LINC01116, a hypoxia‐lncRNA marker of pathological lymphangiogenesis and poor prognosis in lung adenocarcinoma

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
The LINC01116 long noncoding RNA is induced by hypoxia and associated with poor prognosis and high recurrence rates in two cohorts of lung adenocarcinoma patients. Here, we demonstrate that besides its expression in cancer cells, LINC01116 is markedly expressed in lymphatic endothelial cells of the tumor stroma in which it participates in hypoxia ...

Optimal Skip Entry Trajectory for Lunar Return Vehicle with Trim‐Flaps [PDF]

open access: yesMathematical Problems in Engineering, 2017
A medium lift‐to‐drag ratio lunar return vehicle with trim‐flaps is presented in this paper. The trajectory optimization design under heat‐rate constrain for skip entry lunar return vehicle is analyzed. The optimization problem with a first‐order state constraint is introduced.

Circular RNA expression landscapes in myelodysplastic neoplasms: Associations with mutational signatures and disease progression

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
In this explorative study, the abundance of circular RNA molecules in bone marrow stem cells was found to be elevated in patients with high‐risk myelodysplastic neoplasms, and to be associated with an increased risk of progression to acute myeloid leukemia.

Research on Cutting Path Optimization of Trimming Process

open access: yesJournal of Physics: Conference Series, 2020
Abstract For a stamped part, excess material on the edge need to be cut to get the final part. To explore the impact of different laser-cutting paths on the accuracy of part formed by multi-point forming with blank-holder, three different cutting paths are designed in this paper, and the process of laser-cutting is simulated by finite ...

Genetic attenuation of ALDH1A1 increases metastatic potential and aggressiveness in colorectal cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Aldehyde dehydrogenase 1A1 (ALDH1A1) is a cancer stem cell marker in several malignancies. We established a novel epithelial cell line from rectal adenocarcinoma with unique overexpression of this enzyme. Genetic attenuation of ALDH1A1 led to increased invasive capacity and metastatic potential, the inhibition of proliferation activity, and ultimately ...

Efficient Global Aerodynamic Shape Optimization of a Full Aircraft Configuration Considering Trimming

open access: yesAerospace, 2023
Most existing aerodynamic shape optimization (ASO) studies do not take the balanced pitching moment into account and thus the optimized configuration has to be trimmed to ensure zero pitching moment, which causes additional drag and reduces the benefit ...

Deciphering transcriptional plasticity in pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma reveals alterations in sensory neuron innervation

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Pancreatic sensory neurons innervating healthy and PDAC tissue were retrogradely labeled and profiled by single‐cell RNA sequencing. Tumor‐associated innervation showed a dominant neurofilament‐positive subtype, altered mitochondrial gene signatures, and reduced non‐peptidergic neurons.

Brainstem and Cerebellar Volume Loss and Associated Clinical Features in Progressive Supranuclear Palsy

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Introduction Progressive Supranuclear Palsy (PSP) is a neurodegenerative ‘tauopathy’ with predominating pathology in the basal ganglia and midbrain. Caudal tau spread frequently implicates the cerebellum; however, the pattern of atrophy remains equivocal.

Innovating Aircraft Repair Processes: The Role of Digitalization in Sustainability

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
This research explores how digitalization—by storing detailed non‐destructive testing data in structured DICONDE databases and creating a standard data model of the component—innovates aviation maintenance and repair processes. Coupled with a developed state‐based simulation model, it enables data‐driven, sustainable repair strategies that reduce waste,
