Bioinspired Stabilization of Fluorescent Au@SiO2 Tracers for Multimodal Biological Imaging
This study demonstrates a bioinspired stabilization strategy for fluorescent gold‐silica nanoparticles. Inspired by natural biosilica maturation, high‐temperature calcination transforms the silica shells, preventing dissolution in cell culture media and intracellular environments.

A robust solid‐state protein junction with a semi‐transparent eC/Au electrode allows photoexcitation of the bacterio‐rhodopsin, bR layer, to isomerize the bR retinal. The resulting photo‐response shows the protein is functional in the solid‐state junction.

The low sonic boom and aerodynamic optimization with trim constraint of supersonic jet
The abatement of sonic boom noise level is a decisive issue for supersonic transport of next generation. The low sonic boom optimization always make the configuration to a trend of higher swept and longer distribution of the wing along the fuselage, which

Trimming the Hill estimator: robustness, optimality and adaptivity
We introduce a trimmed version of the Hill estimator for the index of a heavy-tailed distribution, which is robust to perturbations in the extreme order statistics. In the ideal Pareto setting, the estimator is essentially finite-sample efficient among all unbiased estimators with a given strict upper break-down point.
