Abstract Fluctuations in aggressive behavior of group‐living species can reflect social conflict and competition for resources faced by individuals throughout their lifespan and can negatively impact survival and reproduction. In marine mammals, where social interactions are difficult to observe, tooth rake marks can be used as an indicator of received

This work aims to achieve the 6000t compression‐shear test machine frame design with the lightweight. The force condition of the compression‐shear test machine frame under limited working conditions is first analyzed, and the static analysis of the compression‐shear test machine frame is performed using ABAQUS.

Study on vertical motion reduction of a trimaran based on collaborative controlled appendages
In recent years, the trimaran as a novel ship has been greatly developed. The subsequent large vertical motion needs to be studied and resolved. In this article, an experimental study for a trimaran vertical stabilization control is carried out.

Characteristics of Slamming Pressure and Force for Trimaran Hull [PDF]
In this paper, the characteristics of the impact pressure and force of a trimaran section was studied by Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD). The time domain features of the slamming pressure or force showed a strong correlation with the penetration depth regardless of the specific ways of water entry.

A Method of a Trimaran Vertical Movements Reduction Control and Hardware Realization
The vertical movements of a trimaran, which can produce a vertical acceleration, always make people feel seasickness and cause equipment damage on the board. This paper presents a method of a trimaran vertical stabilization control.

Abstract Background Smoking worsens underlying asthma inflammation and also induces resistance to inhaled corticosteroids (ICS). Small airways dysfunction measured by impulse oscillometry (IOS) is associated with worse control. Objectives We investigated the effects on small airways of adding long‐acting beta‐agonist (LABA) alone or with long‐acting ...

Vertical Stabilization Control for Trimaran Based on Resultant Force and Moment Distribution
The vertical movement of a trimaran caused by external disturbances during sailing, may lead to seasickness of the passengers and damage of the equipment onboard. Based on computational fluid dynamics (CFD) calculations, the hydrodynamic coefficients are

Stability of a high‐speed craft is an essential matter, and porpoising is one of the most critical instabilities that could occur in some planing hulls due to inappropriate design. In this paper, the porpoising phenomenon and variation of step location yielding resistance reduction are studied through experimental and numerical methods.
