Modelling the abundance structure of isocyanic acid (HNCO) toward the low-mass solar type protostar IRAS 16293-2422 [PDF]
Isocyanic acid (HNCO), the most stable of the simplest molecules containing the four main elements essential for organic chemistry, has been observed in several astrophysical environments such as molecular clouds, star-forming regions, external galaxies and comets.

Pioneering Metal‐Free Late‐Stage C−H Functionalization Using Acridinium Salt Photocatalysis
Organic dyes are powerful photocatalysts in organic transformations due to their availability, adaptable absorption, and diverse structures. Acridinium‐based organo‐photocatalysts, notable for visible light responsiveness, efficiently functionalize inert C−H bonds under mild conditions without transition metals.

1,2‐Diaza‐1,3‐butadienes, also called azoalkenes, have received considerable attention as key synthons for constructing various heterocyclic scaffolds. This minireview summarizes the contribution of our group in this field over the period from 2009 to the present, focusing on the role of the azoene building block in forming the heterocyclic structures.

The vicinal (hetero)aryl functionalization of unactivated alkenes through radical addition of a functional group followed by remote (hetero)aryl migration provides a valuable tactic to install an aromatic ring at a specific position. The migratory (hetero)aromatic ring can be initially tethered to either the alkene or the radical precursor. This review

Interstellar Detection of Methyl Isocyanate CH$_3$NCO in Sgr B2(N): A Link from Molecular Clouds to Comets [PDF]
A new interstellar molecule, CH$_3$NCO (methyl isocyanate), has been detected using the 12 m telescope of the Arizona Radio Observatory (ARO). CH$_3$NCO was identified in spectra covering 48 GHz (68-116 GHz) in the 3 mm segment of a broadband survey of Sgr B2(N).

Full-dimensional theory of pair-correlated HNCO photofragmentation [PDF]
Full-dimensional semiclassical dynamical calculations are reported for the photofragmentation of isocyanic acid in the S1 state. These calculations, performed for the first time, allow to closely reproduce the key features of high-resolution imaging measurements at photolysis wavelengths of 201 and 210 nm while providing insight into the underlying ...

Initiator‐Free Synthesis of Semi‐Interpenetrating Polymer Networks via Bergman Cyclization
An initiator‐free synthesis of semi‐interpenetrating polymer networks (semi‐IPN) via a Bergman cyclization (BC) is reported. Ene‐diyne‐precursors of the second polymer are swollen into the first polyurethane network (PU), followed by radical polymerization.

In this paper we introduce a second phenyl substituent to the aryl urea scaffold and evaluate the proton transport mechanisms and mitochondrial uncoupling actions of these compounds against their monoarylated analogues. Notably, incorporation of meta‐ but not para‐linked proximal rings enhanced proton transport and mitochondrial uncoupling actions in ...
