Trinitarian Theology and the Politics of Nature
Journal for the Study of Religion, Nature and Culture, 2004This article argues that Christian theology of nature faces two central questions: (1) when engaging the modern concept of nature, should theology accept the modern concept or seek to undermine it? Focuses on Augustine’s use of divine simplicity both to articulate the logic of relations in the Triune Godhead and to emphasise that this logic remains beyond human epistemological grasp.

Conclusion: The Terms of Trinitarian Theology
2014When I teach Aquinas’s proofs for the existence of God, I draw on Aquinas’s historical context and changing scientific assumptions in order to shift the focus from Aquinas’s question on the existence of God to Aquinas’s assumptions about the nature of the relationship between God and the world.
