Topological acoustic triple point
The topological characteristics of acoustic phonons with triple degeneracy remain largely unexplored. Here, the authors propose a topological acoustic triple point characterized by a topological charge in a three-band system with PT symmetry.

3-pyramidal Steiner triple systems
A design is said to be $f$-pyramidal when it has an automorphism group which fixes $f$ points and acts sharply transitively on all the others. The problem of establishing the set of values of $v$ for which there exists an $f$-pyramidal Steiner triple system of order $v$ has been deeply investigated in the case $f=1$ but it remains open for a special ...

Triple junction at the triple point resolved on the individual particle level
At the triple point of a repulsive screened Coulomb system, a face-centered-cubic (fcc) crystal, a body-centered-cubic (bcc) crystal and a fluid phase coexist. At their intersection, these three phases form a liquid groove, the triple junction.

Fluorescent probes allow dynamic visualization of phosphoinositides in living cells (left), whereas mass spectrometry provides high‐sensitivity, isomer‐resolved quantitation (right). Their synergistic use captures complementary aspects of lipid signaling. This review illustrates how these approaches reveal the spatiotemporal regulation and quantitative

Operation of weaving partial Steiner triple systems [PDF]
We introduce an operation of a kind of product which associates with a partial Steiner triple system another partial Steiner triple system, the starting one being a quotient of the result.

Planetary nebula progenitors that swallow binary systems
I propose that some irregular `messy' planetary nebulae owe their morphologies to triple-stellar evolution where tight binary systems evolve inside and/or on the outskirts the envelope of asymptotic giant branch (AGB) stars.

Formation of the Galactic Millisecond Pulsar Triple System PSR J0337+1715 - a Neutron Star with Two Orbiting White Dwarfs [PDF]
The millisecond pulsar in a triple system (PSR J0337+1715, recently discovered by Ransom et al.) is an unusual neutron star with two orbiting white dwarfs.

Function‐driven design of a surrogate interleukin‐2 receptor ligand
Interleukin (IL)‐2 signaling can be achieved and precisely fine‐tuned through the affinity, distance, and orientation of the heterodimeric receptors with their ligands. We designed a biased IL‐2 surrogate ligand that selectively promotes effector T and natural killer cell activation and differentiation. Interleukin (IL) receptors play a pivotal role in

Relativistic Resonant Relations between Massive Black Hole Binary and Extreme Mass Ratio Inspiral
One component of a massive black hole binary (MBHB) might capture a small third body, and then a hierarchical, inclined triple system would be formed. With the post-Newtonian approximation including radiation reaction, we analyzed the evolution of the ...

Nearby low-mass triple system GJ795 [PDF]
We report the results of our optical speckle-interferometric observations of the nearby triple system GJ795 performed with the 6-m BTA telescope with diffraction-limited angular resolution.
