Elucidating complex triplet-state dynamics in the model system isopropylthioxanthone [PDF]
Summary: We introduce techniques for probing the dynamics of triplet states. We employ these tools, along with conventional techniques, to develop a detailed understanding of a complex chemical system: a negative-tone, radical photoresist for multiphoton

Heavy-atom effect on optically excited triplet state kinetics. [PDF]
In several fields of research, like e.g. photosensitization, photovoltaics, organic electroluminescent devices, dynamic nuclear polarization, or pulsed dipolar electron paramagnetic resonance spectroscopy, triplet state kinetics play an important role ...

Recent Development of Heavy Atom-Free Triplet Photosensitizers for Photodynamic Therapy
Photodynamic therapy (PDT) is an attractive method for cancer treatment. Triplet photosensitizers (PSs) are critical for this method; upon photoexcitation, efficient intersystem crossing (ISC) occurs for triplet PSs, the triplet-excited state of the ...

Sky Blue and Yellow Cluster Light-Emitting Diodes Based on Asymmetric Cu4I4 Nanocubes
Controllably optimizing excited-state characteristics is crucial for luminescent nanoclusters but remains a formidable challenge. Herein, we report an effective “ligand-induced asymmetrization” strategy for constructing thermally activated delayed ...

Triplet-Energy Quenching Functions of Antioxidant Molecules
UV-like DNA damage is created in the dark by chemiexcitation, in which UV-activated enzymes generate reactive oxygen and nitrogen species that create a dioxetane on melanin.

Triplet-state phosphoryl biradicals
The first example of triplet-state phosphoryl diradicals is reported. Photoinduced dissociative electron capture of two diastereoisomeric m-phenylenebis(ph0sphinic ch1oride)is in a glassy toluene matrix at 130 K using an electron-rich olefin affords the corresponding hosphoryl monoradicals and triplet-state diradicals in a 5:2 ratio.

Applications and Prospects for Triplet–Triplet Annihilation Photon Upconversion
Triplet–triplet annihilation photon upconversion (TTA-UC) is a photophysical process in which the energy of two photons are combined into a single photon of higher energy.
