Three as a Number, and the Symbolic Triplet oppositions in the Myth of Zahak in Shahnameh [PDF]

open access: yesمجله مطالعات ایرانی, 2017
Three as a number is used with its symbolic concepts of perfection, accomplishment, and plentitude in most of religions, cultures, and myths. Also this number is used to show the extremity of goodness and evil.

Intramolecular Down‐ and Up‐Conversion in Dimeric Tetracene Complexes Centered via Platinum(II) and Palladium(II)

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Metal‐tetracene dimeric complexes are synthesized through the pyridyl coordination to either Pt(II) or Pd(II). Photophysical properties are systematically compared as a function of the metal using steady‐state and time‐resolved spectroscopy. The Pt(II) dimer exhibits efficient intramolecular singlet fission and subsequent intramolecular up‐conversion ...

Exceptional Prime Number Twins, Triplets and Multiplets [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2011
A classification of twin primes implies special twin primes. When applied to triplets, it yields exceptional prime number triplets. These generalize yielding exceptional prime number multiplets.

The Trouble with Triplets in Biodiversity Informatics: A Data-Driven Case against Current Identifier Practices

open access: yesPLoS ONE, 2014
The biodiversity informatics community has discussed aspirations and approaches for assigning globally unique identifiers (GUIDs) to biocollections for nearly a decade. During that time, and despite misgivings, the de facto standard identifier has become

Experimental proposal for the generation of entangled photon triplets by third-order spontaneous parametric downconversion in optical fibers. [PDF]

open access: yesOptics Letters, 2011
We present an experimental proposal for the generation of photon triplets based on third-order spontaneous parametric downconversion in thin optical fibers.

Quantum Emitters in Hexagonal Boron Nitride: Principles, Engineering and Applications

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Quantum emitters in hexagonal boron nitride have emerged as a promising candidate for quantum information science. This review examines the fundamentals of these quantum emitters, including their level structures, defect engineering, and their possible chemical structures.

A Deep Neural Network Model for Joint Entity and Relation Extraction

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2019
Joint extraction of entities and their relations from the text is an essential issue in automatic knowledge graph construction, which is also known as the joint extraction of relational triplets.

Triplet-Triplet Energy Transfer in α-Trypsin [PDF]

open access: yesProceedings of the National Academy of Sciences, 1973
Experiments are reported that demonstrate that light absorbed by ionized tyrosinyl sensitizes the phosphorescence of tryptophanyl residues of native α-trypsin. The sensitization effect is abolished when α-trypsin is unfolded in guanidine hydrochloride.

NanoMOF‐Based Multilevel Anti‐Counterfeiting by a Combination of Visible and Invisible Photoluminescence and Conductivity

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
This study presents novel anti‐counterfeiting tags with multilevel security features that utilize additional disguise features. They combine luminescent nanosized Ln‐MOFs with conductive polymers to multifunctional mixed‐matrix membranes and powder composites. The materials exhibit visible/NIR emission and matrix‐based conductivity even as black bodies.

Improving Deep Binary Embedding Networks by Order-aware Reweighting of Triplets [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2018
In this paper, we focus on triplet-based deep binary embedding networks for image retrieval task. The triplet loss has been shown to be most effective for the ranking problem. However, most of the previous works treat the triplets equally or select the hard triplets based on the loss.
