Organic Triplet Photosensitizers for Triplet-Triplet Annihilation Upconversion

2021
Triplet-triplet annihilation (TTA) upconversion, a photophysical phenomenon of conversion of low-energy photon into high-energy photon, is a promising approach due to its low excitation power requirement and high upconversion quantum yields. Most of the triplet photosensitizers (PSs) used for TTA upconversion are based on transition metal complexes and

Triplet–Triplet Annihilation via the Triplet Channel in Crystalline 9,10-Diphenylanthracene

The Journal of Physical Chemistry Letters, 2022
Delayed fluorescence resulting from triplet-triplet annihilation in crystalline 9,10-diphenylanthracene was observed by means of steady-state fluorescence measurements under magnetic fields of ≤10 T. At five specific magnetic fields, four peaks and one dip in the magnetic field dependence of fluorescence intensity were observed, proving that exchange ...

Grating triplet

Applied Optics, 1995
A grating-pair device is useful for producing negative group velocity dispersion of temporal optical signals. When high dispersion is needed or large bandwidth is involved, higher-order dispersion terms become significant. The grating triplet is a new approach to create dispersion that can produce negative or positive group-velocity dispersion without ...

Solvent Viscosity Effect on Triplet–Triplet Pair in Triplet Fusion

The Journal of Physical Chemistry B, 2015
The effect of the solvent viscosity dependence of time-resolved magnetoluminescence (ML) on the delayed fluorescence of 9,10-diphenylanthracene (DPA) sensitized by platinum octaethylporphyrin has clarified the structure and dynamics of the triplet-triplet pair (TT), i.e., the transition state of triplet fusion.

Triplet Pregnancy

Obstetrical & Gynecological Survey, 1978
SummaryA series of 14 triplet pregnancies has been analyzed. The older triplet mother had a better chance of fetal survival than the younger mother. Parity did not appear to have much effect on fetal survival but the maturity of the infants at birth had more influence than did birth weight, on their survival.

Singlet−Triplet and Triplet−Triplet Interactions in Conjugated Polymer Single Molecules

The Journal of Physical Chemistry B, 2005
Single molecule fluorescence correlation spectroscopy has been used to investigate the photodynamics of isolated single multichromophoric polymer chains of the conjugated polymers MEH-PPV and F8BT on the microsecond to millisecond time scale. The experimental results (and associated kinetic modeling) demonstrate that (i) triplet exciton pairs undergo ...

Triplet Pregnancy

Australian and New Zealand Journal of Obstetrics and Gynaecology, 1973
Summary: Five triplet pregnancies are described. None of these terminated prematurely. The perinatal mortality was 33%, while the sex ratio was 150:100. There was one set of conjoined twins. The literature on triplet pregnancy is reviewed and the incidence, aetiology, diagnosis, complications and management are discussed.

Triplet-triplet absorption of biphenyl

Chemical Physics Letters, 1970
Abstract Biphenyl in a cooled alcoholic solution shows structured TT absorption bands, weak in the visible and strong in the UV with a maximum at 3700A and an ∈ τ = 50 000 litre mole −1 cm −1 . Calculations using the PPP SCF method with a large configuration interaction are done using a planar model.

Triplet-triplet excitation in helium

Physical Review A, 1980
Differential cross sections for the electron impact excitation from the metastable 2 $^{3}\mathrm{S}$ state to the 3 $^{3}\mathrm{S}$ state of helium, at impact energies 50 to 500 eV, are calculated in the two-potential model and the modified Born approximation using Coulomb waves with a screened nuclear charge.
