Recurrences of trisomy 18 and trisomy 13 after trisomy 21
Human Genetics, 1989Between 40 years and 43 years of age, a woman had three consecutive pregnancies with different prenatally diagnosed autosomal trisomies. This is compatible with the view that the predisposition to non-disjunction is not chromosome-specific.

In this paper, we review the complex medical, ethical, and psychosocial decisions that confront maternal fetal medicine specialists, neonatologists, parents, nurses, and other providers in the management of infants diagnosed with two chromosomal conditions generally considered as lethal anomalies.

Annual Review of Genetics, 1984
Trisomy occurring in at least 4% of pregnancies is the most common chromosome abnormality in humans. The majority of trisomies are associated with single additional chromosome. The presence of an additional sex chromosome is often associated with physical behavioral and intellectual impairment.

Two unrelated patients with trisomy 2q32 → q37, resulting from maternal balanced translocations t(2; 13) (q32 q33) and t(2; 15) (q32 q26) are reported. Comparison of the clinical findings suggests that trisomy 2q is associated with a rather characteristic constellation of symptoms and malformations.

A previously reported patient with trisomy for the distal part of 6q was shown by R‐banding to be trisomic for 6q26qter, due to a t(6;22)(q26;p12) mat. Altogether nine patients with 6qter trisomy have been reported. The main features of the 6qter trisomy syndrome are: severe mental and growth retardation; acrocephaly and brachycephaly; a carp‐shaped ...

Trisomy 13/trisomy 18 mosaicism in an infant
Clinical Genetics, 1996Cytogenetic analysis of amniotic fluid cells from a 31‐week‐old fetus suffering from polyhydramnios revealed that there were two cell lines, each with either trisomy 13 or trisomy 18. We studied the origin and mechanism of formation of this unique mixoploidy by tracing chromosomal heteromorphisms as genetic markers, and showed no discordance of parent ...

Trisomy 18qter and trisomy mapping of chromosome 18
Clinical Genetics, 1977Four cases of partial trisomy 18q are reported and compared to observations from the literature. The phenotype of 18qter trisomy is described and compared to full trisomy 18.

Trisomy 21 and trisomy 18 in half-siblings
Humangenetik, 1975Trisomy 18 was detected ante-natally in a woman who had a trisomy 21 offspring in a previous marriage. It is possible that in some women there is a predisposition to nondisjunction. © 1975 Springer-Verlag.
