In Australia, the green vegetable bug, Nezara viridula (L.) (Hemiptera: Pentatomidae), has reputedly been brought under widespread biological control through the importation and release of several "strains" of the scelionid egg parasitoid Trissolcus basalis (Wollaston) (Hymenoptera: Scelionidae).
