Squalene Cyclases and Cycloartenol Synthases from Polystichum polyblepharum and Six Allied Ferns

open access: yesMolecules, 2018
Ferns are the most primitive of all vascular plants. One of the characteristics distinguishing them from flowering plants is its triterpene metabolism. Most cyclic triterpenes in ferns are hydrocarbons derived from the direct cyclization of squalene by ...

Triterpene saponins fromMyrsine pellucida

open access: yesPhytochemistry, 1994
Quercitol, five saponins and 3-O-(6'-O-palmitoyl) beta-D-glucopyranosyl stigmasterol were isolated from the stem bark of Myrisine pellucida. These compounds are described for the first time in this plant and their structures were determined using a combination of 1H and 13C NMR, and mass spectroscopy.

Correlational and Molecular Mechanism Analyses of Bioactive Compounds From Ziziphus jujuba: Focusing on Anti‐Hyaluronidase and Antioxidant Networks

open access: yesFood Science &Nutrition, Volume 14, Issue 5, May 2026.
Extract of Z. jujuba leaves and branches is prepared by using ethanol. The samples are examined for antioxidant and various enzyme inhibition activities. Then, bioactive components are isolated by column chromatography and identified by EI‐MS, NMR, and UV‐HPLC. Medicagenic acid may be the best candidate for anti‐hyaluronidase.

Triterpene glycosides from Agrostemma gracilis

open access: yesPhytochemistry, 2010
Four triterpene saponins, agrostemmosides A-D were isolated from the methanol extract of Agrostemma gracilis. The structures of the compounds were determined as 3-O-beta-D-xylopyranosyloleanolic acid 28-O-beta-D-glucopyranosyl-(1-->2)-[beta-D-xylopyranosyl-(1-->6)]-beta-D-glucopyranosyl-(1-->6)-beta-D-glucopyranosyl ester, 3-O-alpha-L-rhamnopyranosyl ...

The Extract of Rosa roxburghii Tratt Alleviates Pulmonary Fibrosis in Mice via Gut Microbiota‐Amino Acid Metabolism and JAK2/STAT3 Inhibition

open access: yesFood Science &Nutrition, Volume 14, Issue 5, May 2026.
The ethyl acetate extract of Rosa roxburghii Tratt (EAE) alleviated pulmonary fibrosis through modulation of gut microbiota‐amino acid metabolism and inhibition of the JAK2/STAT3 signaling pathway. Bioactive components and antioxidant capacity were evaluated across different polar extracts of Rosa roxburghii Tratt (RRTEs). The EAE exhibited the highest
