Reflections on How Wheat Flour Lipids Impact the Viscoelastic Properties of Gluten Proteins
ABSTRACT Endogenous wheat flour lipids are known to play an important role in baked product quality, even though they constitute a minor fraction of wheat flour composition. They interact with gluten proteins throughout the different stages of dough processing and therefore contribute to specific quality traits in baked products.

Respatializing Toxic Harm: The Case Against Sacrifice Zones
ABSTRACT Describing heavily polluted areas as “sacrifice zones” has become commonplace in recent decades, as diverse groups resist their unwitting exposure to destructive and toxic industrial, municipal, and military activities. However, pollutants tend to seep, spill, leak, and drift from wherever they are concentrated, defying any notion of physical ...

Decommissioning Cost Estimate for the Ghana Research Reactor‐1 Facility Using the CERREX‐D2 Software
The Ghana Research Reactor‐1 facility would certainly be decommissioned, either at the end of its life or by a decision to discontinue its operation. In planning for GHARR‐1’s eventual decommissioning, estimating the overall decommissioning cost is a major activity that needs to be undertaken to support budgeting and decision‐making for the project. To

The nuclear power industry preferably aims to a closed nuclear fuel cycle and a transition to a two‐component structure based on the joint operation of thermal and fast neutron reactors. This approach makes it possible to significantly reduce the volume of radioactive waste and increase the efficiency of using uranium fuel. Sodium fast neutron reactors

Neutronics Design of Tritium Breeding Blanket for Fusion Experimental Reactor [PDF]
Detailed neutronics analysis on a tokamak fusion experimental reactor was performed. Neutronics responses of components in the vacuum vessel of a swimming pool type reactor were calculated by Monte Carlo method considering toroidal geometry, asymmetrical torus cross section, and neutron source distribution in plasma.
