Lactate Metabolism: Separating Correlation From Causation
Elevated lactate is often interpreted as the cause of pathology, when it more commonly reflects underlying metabolic state. This review separates correlation from causation and highlights how advances in technology have transformed our understanding of lactate biology. ABSTRACT Lactate is among the most frequently measured metabolites in physiology and

Tritium breeding blanket [PDF]
The terms of reference for ITER provide for incorporation of a tritium breeding blanket with a breeding ratio as close to unity as practical. A breeding blanket is required to assure an adequate supply of tritium to meet the program objectives.

From a synthesized series of 2,4‐diaminoquinazoline‐type Y5R ligands, three were prepared as tritium‐labeled compounds and characterized by saturation equilibrium binding at HEC‐1B‐hY5R cells. [3H]32 was further applied in a competition binding assay. High non‐specific binding of the radioligands prompted investigation of material‐dependent adsorption.

ABSTRACT Introduction Gastric cancer (GC) is a leading cause of cancer‐related mortality worldwide, often diagnosed at advanced stages due to the absence of specific symptoms. This study aimed to explore the potential of urinary volatile organic compounds (VOCs) as non‐invasive biomarkers for gastric cancer diagnosis.
