Rationally trivial hermitian spaces are locally trivial [PDF]
The main result of this paper is the following : Let \(R\) be a regular local ring containing a field of characteristic \(\neq 2\) and with field of fractions \(K\), let \(A\) be an Azumaya algebra with involution over \(R\), and let \({\mathbf h}\) be an \(\epsilon\)-hermitian space over \(A\). If the hermitian form \({\mathbf h}\otimes_R K\) over the

AbstractThere are a number of repetitive behaviors which have in common what appears to be a decrease in an individual's capacity to choose to discontinue them. The taxonomy we select to categorize these behaviors depends on our objectives. Broad definition which label as ‘addictions’ both repetitive use of drugs and repetitive behaviors not related to

AbstractSolovay showed that there are noncomputable reals α such that H(α ∥ n) ≤ H(1n)+O(1), where H is prefix-free Kolmogorov complexity. Such H-trivial reals are interesting due to the connection between algorithmic complexity and effective randomness. We give a new, easier construction of an H-trivial real.

Trivial Stable Structures with Non-Trivial Reducts [PDF]
The author presents an alternative perspective, offering some simplifications, on some of the generic structures constructed using Hrushovski's predimensions. In particular he shows how to obtain any of the basic \textit{ab initio} Hrushovski structures produced by an integer-valued predimension as a reduct of a ``natural'', stable, trivial one-based ...

Trivial and non-trivial superconductivity in dsDNA [PDF]
A double-stranded DNA (dsDNA) is modeled by two coupled one-dimensional Kitaev's chain and the topological superconductivity is studied. It is shown that the zero energy mode exists under some specific conditions. The wave function of zero mode is calculated and it is shown that the Majorana quasi-particles exist on the ends of each strand.

Somewhere Trivial Autohomeomorphisms [PDF]
An autohomeomorphism of the space \(\beta N- N\) is said to be trivial if it is induced by a bijection between cofinite subsets of \(N\); it is said somewhere trivial if its restriction to a non-empty clopen subset of \(\beta N-N\) is trivial. A celebrated result of the first author says that it is consistent with ZFC that all autohomeomorphisms of ...

Trivial and Non-Trivial (yet difficult) Physicalism
According to physicalism, everything is physical, namely there are no entities (or no more restricted sorts of entities) that are not physical. In this paper, I shall examine the truth of this thesis by presenting a triviality objection against physicalism that is somehow similar to the one advanced against presentism.
