tRNS effects on visual Contrast Detection.

Neuroscience Letters, 2019
In recent years, transcranial electrical stimulation (tES) has been used to improve cognitive and perceptual abilities and to boost learning. In the visual domain, transcranial random noise stimulation (tRNS), a type of tES in which electric current is ...

Modulating Subjective Time Perception with Transcranial Random Noise Stimulation (tRNS)

open access: yesJournal of Cognitive Enhancement, 2020
Understanding the neural and cognitive mechanisms underlying time estimation remains a challenge. Transcranial electric stimulations, such as transcranial randomnoise stimulation (tRNS), are useful tools to interfere with brain activity and identifying

Cutaneous perception thresholds of electrical stimulation methods: Comparison of tDCS and tRNS

open access: yesClinical Neurophysiology, 2010
Objective: Controlled blinded studies using transcranial electrical stimulation (tES) paradigms need a validated sham stimulation paradigm since an itching or tingling sensation on the skin surface under the electrode can be associated with current flow.

The effects on tACS and tRNS on language function: A literature review

open access: yesBrain and Language
Transcranial electrical stimulation (tES) techniques are promising noninvasive tools for modulating language-related neural processes. While transcranial direct current stimulation (tDCS) has been well studied, transcranial alternating current stimulation (tACS) and transcranial random noise stimulation (tRNS) remain less characterized.

Phylogenetic split of Larix : evidence from paternally inherited cpDNA trn T- trn F region

Plant Systematics and Evolution, 2003
A molecular phylogeny of Larix comprising 12 species was constructed from the sequence analysis of the paternally inherited cpDNA trnT-trnF region of 46 individuals. The most parsimonious tree split Larix into three sister clades: one clade was composed of two North American species, the other two were short-bracted and long-bracted species of Eurasia ...

Transcranial electrical stimulation (tES – tDCS; tRNS, tACS) methods

open access: yesNeuropsychological Rehabilitation, 2011
Weak transcranial direct current stimulation (tDCS) with a homogenous DC field at intensities of around 1 mA induces long-lasting changes in the brain. tDCS can be used to manipulate brain excitability via membrane polarisation: cathodal stimulation hyperpolarises, while anodal stimulation depolarises the resting membrane potential, whereby the induced

Méthodologies tDCS/tACS/tRNS

Neurophysiologie Clinique, 2019

Multisite transcranial Random Noise Stimulation (tRNS) modulates the distress network activity and oscillatory powers in subjects with chronic tinnitus.

Journal of clinical neuroscience, 2019
Tinnitus is a common disorder in which auditory and non-auditory areas are involved as a network. Therefore, the multisite protocol of brain stimulation (tRNS) seems effective in relieving tinnitus symptoms.

Deletions in the plastid trn T- trn L intergenic spacer define clades within Cactaceae subfamily Cactoideae

Plant Systematics and Evolution, 2002
The phylogenetic distribution of two deletions, of about 350 and 250 bp respectively, within the chloroplast trnT–trnL intergenic spacer was examined. One deletion was found in all members of Cactaceae subfamily Cactoideae sampled, totaling 37 species, but not in taxa from other subfamilies or closely related families. The second was shared by a subset

Extending the TRN model in a biologically plausible way

1997
The Topology Representing Network (TRN) model is extended by using an activation dynamics which implicitly orders the neurons according to the distance from the input pattern. This allows to apply the same Hebbian learning method to the thalamo-cortical and cortico-cortical connections.
