What's New? Testicular germ cell cancer (TC), the most common solid tumor among young men in Western countries, has survival rates exceeding 95 percent, allowing most survivors to pursue fatherhood. Concerns remain, however, about cancer risk in offspring, given potential mutagenic effects incurred during treatment for TC.

Forbs in Viking lands: the effect of disturbing dominant graminoids on recruitment in tundra grasslands

Grasslands, by definition, are dominated by graminoids. Nevertheless, forbs also make up a substantial part of vascular plant diversity in grasslands and are important resources of mammalian herbivores. However, forb recruitment is constrained by successful dominant graminoids, limiting access to safe sites for germination.

From the brink of extinction to regulation: northern Europe's white‐tailed eagles now face density dependence and climate constraints after rapid population growth

Population growth reflects the combined influence of regulation and density‐independent factors operating through demographic processes. Under exceptional circumstances (e.g. populations recovering from near‐extinction), growth may initially be weakly regulated but typically slows as negative density dependence (NDD) sets in.
