Actinomycin Analogs From Streptomyces polyantibioticus S4D258: Structural Elucidation and Antiproliferative Activity Against Triple‐Negative Breast Cancer

open access: yesChemistry &Biodiversity, Volume 23, Issue 10, October 2026.
Fifteen new actinomycin analogs, named actinomycins H1–H15, are identified from S. polyantibioticus S4D258. Actinomycins H7–H15 are truncated actinomycin analogs. Actinomycins H1–H6 and H9 exhibit significant antiproliferative activities against both MDA‐MB‐231 and 4T1 TNBC cells.

Activated Stat3 expression in gestational trophoblastic disease: Correlation with clinicopathological parameters and apoptotic indices

open access: yes, 2008
Aims: To assess the expression profile of the activated form of signal transducer and activator of transcription (Stat)3 in gestational trophoblastic disease (GTD) and correlate the findings with clinicopathological parameters.

Homonymous Quadrantanopsia as the First Manifestation of Cerebral Metastasis of Invasive Mole: a case report

open access: yesJournal of Medical Case Reports, 2012
Introduction Homonymous quadrantanopsia results from retrochiasmal lesions in the visual pathway. Invasive mole is a benign tumor that arises from myometrial invasion of a hydatidiform mole via direct extension through tissue or venous channels. Cerebral

The 9th Edition of the UICC TNM Classification of Malignant Tumours: Updates and Rationale for Change

open access: yesInternational Journal of Cancer, Volume 159, Issue 7, Page 1588-1601, 1 October 2026.
ABSTRACT The standard for assessing and recording the extent of the tumour, a necessity for most malignancies, is the Tumour Node Metastases (TNM) classification. The Union for International Cancer Control (UICC) TNM committee has defined this since the early 1950s.

Complications of Early Pregnancy and Gestational Trophoblastic Diseases

open access: yes, 2019
Placenta plays a crucial role in the development of the fetus. By connecting the fetus to the maternal circulation, it allows provision of oxygen and nutrients to the fetus while removing carbon dioxide and metabolic wastes.

Trophoblast Extracellular Vesicles Rewire Immunity: A Symptom‐Relief Avenue for Recessive Dystrophic Epidermolysis Bullosa

open access: yesJournal of Extracellular Vesicles, Volume 15, Issue 10, October 2026.
First‐trimester trophoblast EVs are enriched in anti‐inflammatory proteins, lipids, and immunoregulatory miRNAs. EVT‐EVs reprogram monocytes toward a pro‐resolving phenotype and restore immune homeostasis in RDEB, supporting their potential as offering a scalable off‐the‐shelf therapy for chronic inflammatory diseases.

Hsd3b1 as a Novel Trophoblast-Associated Marker That Assists in the Differential Diagnosis of Trophoblastic Tumors and Tumorlike Lesions

open access: yes, 2008
Trophoblastic tumors and tumorlike lesions can be confused with a variety of nontrophoblastic tumors; therefore, a trophoblast-associated marker that is expressed in all types of trophoblastic lesions is useful in differential diagnosis.

The Sleeping Giant: Metabolism and Autophagy in the Generation and Survival of Dormant Polyploid Giant Cancer Cells

open access: yesMedComm, Volume 7, Issue 10, October 2026.
Polyploid giant cancer cells (PGCCs) arise in response to stress and play a critical role in therapy resistance and tumor dormancy. These cells can evade conventional treatments and later contribute to cancer relapse by generating progeny through nonmitotic, amitotic mechanisms.
