The detection rate of enzymatic recombinase amplification (ERA) was better than that of the rapid diagnostic test. The ERA assay was more convenient than fluorescence quantitative PCR. The ERA assay can be used as a complementary tool for malaria screening and clinical diagnosis.

The subtropical global plume in the Pacific Exploratory Mission-Tropics A (PEM-Tropics A), PEM-Tropics B, and the Global Atmospheric Sampling Program (GASP): How tropical emissions affect the remote Pacific [PDF]
[1] An extended southern subtropical plume of CO meanders>15,000 km around the world, gradually spreading around 20 S. This southern pollution plume is most noticeable in the burning season, southern spring; a similar subtropical plume appears in the ...

The role of tropical-extratropical interaction and synoptic variability in maintaining the South Pacific Convergence Zone in CMIP5 models [PDF]
The South Pacific Convergence Zone (SPCZ) is simulated as too zonal a feature in current generation climate models, including those in Phase 5 of the Coupled Model Intercomparison Project (CMIP5).

The study identifies significant variations in features such as Muri and Lumina, as well as Exine thickness and Colpi length, which are critical for taxonomic delimitation within the genus. ABSTRACT Impatiens L. is a taxonomically complicated genus of flowering plants that entails extensive morphological studies to demarcate its taxa.

Tropical component of the moss Flora of China [PDF]
In many ways, it is presumptuous for me to speak on the mosses of the tropical regions of China. Many consider the knowledge about the taxonomy, ecology, and geography of tropical bryophytes inadequate (Pócs 1982; Schuster 1983; Richards 1984), and this ...

Cropland abandonment has become a global land use change phenomenon that threatens food security. Identifying abandoned cropland in time and space can provide important data for cropland and agricultural management. In tropical/subtropical monsoon areas, sufficient water and thermal conditions allow crops to grow year-round, yet the specific crops ...

Abstract BACKGROUND Chilling injury (CI) in Japanese plums (Prunus salicina Lindell) is a critical cold storage constraint that adversely impacts fruit quality and marketability. Jasmonic acid (JA) and its methyl derivative ‘methyl jasmonate’ (MeJA) are widely studied phytohormones for the mitigation of CI in several fruit crops, whereas their efficacy

Coccolithophore fluxes in the open tropical North Atlantic: influence of thermocline depth, Amazon water, and Saharan dust [PDF]
Coccolithophores are calcifying phytoplankton and major contributors to both the organic and inorganic oceanic carbon pumps. Their export fluxes, species composition, and seasonal patterns were determined in two sediment trap moorings (M4 at 12 degrees N,

We evaluated associations among biological, environmental, and anthropogenic factors and survival, recovery, and post‐summer movements for the western Gulf Coast population of mottled ducks in Louisiana and Texas during 1997‐2020. Our results contribute to a better understanding of the factors influencing demographic performance, harvest, and movements
