Application of the GWR Method to the Tropical Indian Ocean*

Monthly Weather Review, 2001
The gravity wave retardation (GWR) method is a simple technique that allows layer models to include bottom topography. Here the method is applied, and its accuracy is evaluated, for monthly climatological wind forcing in an Indian Ocean model with realistic bottom topography.

Internannual variability of the tropical Indian Ocean: the impact of the tropical Atlantic

2011
