ABSTRACT This study presents the first unequivocal evidence for the presence of Tasmanian devils (Sarcophilus harrisii) in the Pilbara region of northwestern Australia, based on material recovered from archaeological excavations at Juukan Gorge on Puutu Kunti Kurrama and Pinikura country.
