Gender &History, EarlyView.ABSTRACT As Australia's wool industry produced vast amounts of fine fleece from the nineteenth century, the wool processing and clothes manufacturing industries generated waste – products like cuttings, combings, fettlings and flock. Salvaged and then sold to waste merchants, these and other materials had a second life.

Temporal Responses to Warming: Do Wild Herbivores Trade Off Heat, Predators, and Humans?
Integrative Zoology, EarlyView.We untangled how summer temperature, predators, and humans influenced behavioral responses in two deer species. Both reduced their daily activity level in response to warming, yet only roe deer increased nocturnality to avoid heat. Conversely, fallow deer traded off heat avoidance with predator avoidance.

The Local Spillover Effect of Marijuana Liberalization: Evidence From Material Misstatements
Accounting &Finance, EarlyView.ABSTRACT This study documents an organizational spillover effect of marijuana liberalization on corporate financial reporting quality. Exploiting the staggered adoption of state‐level medical marijuana legalization (MML) laws, we find that firms headquartered in states adopting MMLs experience a higher likelihood of material misstatements.

Staff Preferences for Operating Theatre Scrub Attire
ANZ Journal of Surgery, EarlyView.A Children's Hospital operating theatre staff survey showed preferences for dark blue over light blue scrubs, and those with an elastic waistband and trouser style pockets. Thematic reasons include: comfort/fit/availability, professionalism, functionality/practicality, dignity/self‐esteem, modesty/privacy, stains/sweat/dirt and safety.
