Building Damage-Resilient Dominating Sets in Complex Networks against Random and Targeted Attacks [PDF]

open access: yes, 2014
We study the vulnerability of dominating sets against random and targeted node removals in complex networks. While small, cost-efficient dominating sets play a significant role in controllability and observability of these networks, a fixed and intact ...

Peptomer Linkers Enable Kinetic Control over Co‐Delivery of Multiple Chemotherapeutics

open access: yesAdvanced Healthcare Materials, EarlyView.
A key challenge in combinatorial chemotherapeutic drug delivery is independent control over release kinetics, especially with drugs of similar size and structure. Here, peptoid substitutions to proteolytically degradable peptides enabled the design of fast and slow‐releasing drug linkers.

Thoracic Radiotherapy in Limited-Stage SCLC—a Population-Based Study of Patterns of Care in Norway From 2000 Until 2018

open access: yesJTO Clinical and Research Reports, 2022
Introduction: Twice-daily (BID) thoracic radiotherapy (TRT) of 45 Gy per 30 fractions is recommended for limited-stage (LS) SCLC, but most patients are treated with once-daily (OD) schedules owing to toxicity concerns and logistic challenges.

A Spatiotemporally Controlled Nanoplatform for Photothermal BRD4 Degradation Enables Synergistic Cancer Immunotherapy

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A GSH‐responsive MOF nanoplatform acts as a Photothermolysis‐Targeting Conjugate (PTTAC). Through sophisticated step‐wise nuclear delivery, it enables NIR‐II light‐triggered photothermal degradation of BRD4. This precise strategy induces robust immunogenic cell death (ICD) and powerfully synergizes with anti‐PD‐L1 blockade to elicit a potent systemic ...

Charge‐Acoustic Phonon Coupling Determined Carrier Transport Properties in FAxMA1−xPbBr3 Perovskite Single Crystals

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This study investigates acoustic phonon‑carrier coupling in FAxMA1−xPbBr3 single crystals using time‑domain Brillouin scattering. The results show that increasing the FA content in FAxMA1−xPbBr3 single crystal reduces both the elastic constant and the intrinsic carrier mobility governed by the acoustic phonon‑carrier coupling.

Dietary Supplementation With Various Fat Oils Affect Phytohemagglutinin Skin Test in Broiler Chickens

open access: yesFrontiers in Immunology, 2020
The current study aimed to investigate the effect of different dietary supplemental oils on the immune status of broilers. One-day-old Cobb 500 broiler chicks were randomly distributed into eight batteries and fed eight experimental diets. There were 680

Staging an Experience of Cultural Heritage Preservation: Consumers' Willingness to Pay for Heirloom Rice in the Philippines

open access: yesAgribusiness, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT The Cordillera Administrative Region in the Philippines is home to terraced rice embedded in centuries of cultural heritage. However, weak market incentives threaten sustained production, jeopardizing indigenous communities' cultural heritage and the in situ biodiversity of rice genetic resources.

The complex relation between obstructive sleep apnoea syndrome, hypogonadism and testosterone replacement therapy

open access: yesFrontiers in Reproductive Health, 2023
Obstructive sleep apnoea syndrome (OSAS) is an under-recognized medical disease. The main risk factors for OSAS are male sex, older age, obesity, and metabolic syndrome, that are also associated with male hypogonadism (MH).
