ABSTRACT Background and Aims Wilms tumour (WT) has excellent event‐free and overall survival (OS). However, small differences exist between countries participating in the same international study. This led us to examine variation in adherence to protocol recommendations as a potential contributing factor.

A Positive Inflated Discrete Distribution: Properties and Applications
We consider data modelling under one inflation for zero-truncated count data, as they typically arise in capture-recapture modelling. One-inflation in zero-truncated count data has recently found considerable attention. In this regard, zero-truncated New

Accounting for convective effects in zero-Mach-number thermoacoustic models [PDF]
This paper presents a methodology to account for some mean-flow effects on thermo-acoustic instabilities when using the zero-Mach-number assumption. It is shown that when a computational domain is represented under the M=0 assumption, a nonzero-Mach ...

On Sequential Probability Sampling Plan for a Truncated Life Tests Using Rayleigh Distribution
This paper proposed a sequential probability sampling plan for a truncated life test using a Rayleigh distribution from a designed double sampling plans where the interest was to obtain the minimum sample size necessary to assure that the average life time of a product is longer than the default life time at the specified consumer’s and producer’s ...

ABSTRACT Arteriovenous malformations (AVMs) are rare, high‐flow, vascular anomalies that can occur either sporadically or as part of a genetic syndrome. AVMs can progress with serious morbidity and even mortality if left unchecked. Sirolimus is an mTOR inhibitor that is effective in low‐flow vascular malformations; however, its role in AVMs is unclear.

On Positive Inflated Geometric Distribution: Properties and Applications
One-inflation in zero-truncated count data has recently found considerable attention. In this regard, zero-truncated Geometric distribution and distribution to a point mass at one are used to create a one-inflated model, namely, one-inflated zero ...

Acceptance sampling plans for inverse Weibull distribution based on truncated life test [PDF]
In this paper, we develop double acceptance sampling plan and group acceptance sampling plan for an inverse Weibull distribution based on a truncated life test. We consider the median lifetime of the test units as a quality parameter and obtain the design parameters such as sample size and acceptance number.

ABSTRACT Purpose Although not always achieved, complete chemotherapy‐induced nausea and vomiting (CINV) control is the conventional goal of CINV prophylaxis. In this two‐center, mixed‐methods study, we sought to understand the preferences of adolescent patients and family caregivers for CINV control endpoints.

A deletion in FOXN1 is associated with a syndrome characterized by congenital hypotrichosis and short life expectancy in Birman cats. [PDF]
An autosomal recessive syndrome characterized by congenital hypotrichosis and short life expectancy has been described in the Birman cat breed (Felis silvestris catus).
