A news article generally contains a high-level overview of the facts early on, followed by paragraphs of more detailed information. This structure allows copy editors to truncate the latter paragraphs of an article in order to satisfy space limitations without losing critical information.

Macroeconomic research often relies on structural vector autoregressions to uncover empirical regularities. Critics argue the method goes awry due to lag truncation: short lag-lengths imply a poor approximation to DSGE-models. Empirically, short lag-length is deemed necessary as increased parametrization induces excessive uncertainty.

Abstract It is known that the one-sided Simes’ test controls the error rate if the underlying distribution is multivariate totally positive of order 2 (MTP2), but not in general. The two-sided test also controls the error rate when the coordinate absolute value has an MTP2 distribution, which holds more generally. We prove mathematically

Truncated binary data occurs when a group of individuals, who each have a binary response, are observed only if one or more of the individuals has a positive response. In this paper the group will be taken to be a motor vehicle accident and the binary response taken to be survival or death.

Anytime Truncated D* : Anytime Replanning with Truncation
Proceedings of the International Symposium on Combinatorial Search, 2021Incremental heuristic searches reuse their previous search efforts to speed up the current search. Anytime search algorithms iteratively tune the solutions based on available search time. Anytime D* (AD*) is an incremental anytime search algorithm that combines these two approaches.

AbstractThe protein truncation test detects mutations at the protein level that lead to premature translation termination. The method has evolved considerably since is original publication in this manual. This thoroughly revised unit describes what is now the preferred method for performing the protein truncation test. Truncated exponential polynomials and truncated coherent states
The European Physical Journal Plus, 2020In this paper, we study the truncated exponential polynomial and truncated hyperbolic polynomial. We use these to construct the coherent states of the truncated harmonic oscillator algebra and investigate the non-classical properties of these coherent states.
