Grapevine Trunk Diseases Management in Vineyards from Central Transylvania

open access: yesBulletin of University of Agricultural Sciences and Veterinary Medicine Cluj-Napoca: Horticulture, 2020
Grapevine trunk diseases (GTD) are among the most important diseases reported in vineyards in central Transylvania. On average, up to 5% of the vineyards are affected by the GTD although there are also vineyards where the incidence of the attack exceeds ...

The E3 Ligase RNF115 Aggravates Pathological Cardiac Hypertrophy via Ubiquitin‐Mediated Degradation of SPTBN1

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
In response to hypertrophic stimuli, increased c‑JUN phosphorylation upregulates RNF115, leading to SPTBN1 ubiquitination and degradation. which promotes F‑actin depolymerization and YAP activation, driving cardiac hypertrophy. The RNF115 inhibitor DTD effectively suppresses SPTBN1 ubiquitination and cardiac hypertrophy.

Longitudinal Single‐Axon‐Resolution Imaging of Peripheral Nerve Injury Response in Mice Using an Optical Window Implant

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A minimally invasive optical window enables stable, long‐term imaging of peripheral nerves in vivo at single‐axon resolution. Dynamic processes of degeneration, regeneration, and cellular remodeling are visualized across multiple time scales within the same nerve region, providing a unique platform to study a variety of anatomical and molecular events ...

Grapevine trunk diseases. A review

open access: yes, 2016
Grapevine trunk diseases (GTD) are currently considered one of the most relevant challenges for theviticulture. These destructive diseases cause in vineyards several damages every year, and they are of rapidly growing concern in all wine producing countries.

Fungal Trunk Diseases: A Global Threat to Grapevines

open access: yesAnnual Review of Phytopathology
Trunk diseases are global wood diseases of grapevine that can significantly reduce the productive lifespan of vineyards. Infection may initiate at the nursery or in vineyards. Grapevine trunk diseases (GTDs) are caused by diverse Ascomycota and Basidiomycota fungal pathogens in at least nine families. They may be soilborne or airborne, depending on the

Prognostic Significance of Portal Vein Tumor Thrombus in Pancreatic Ductal Adenocarcinoma Treated With Chemoradiotherapy

open access: yesAnnals of Gastroenterological Surgery, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Aim To examine the significance of portal vein tumor thrombus (PVTT) as a prognostic factor for patients with pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma (PDAC) treated with chemoradiotherapy (CRT) followed by surgery. Methods The study retrospectively examined 313 patients with borderline resectable (BR) or locally advanced (LA) PDAC who underwent CRT ...

Necrotic and Cytolytic Activity on Grapevine Leaves Produced by Nep1-Like Proteins of Diplodia seriata

open access: yesFrontiers in Plant Science, 2019
Many phytopathogenic fungi produce necrosis and ethylene inducing peptide 1 (Nep1-like proteins or NLP) that trigger leaf necrosis and the activation of defense mechanisms.

“Intrapericardial Approach” for Venous Outflow Reconstruction in Living‐Donor Liver Transplantation for Budd‐Chiari Syndrome: Surgical Techniques and LongTerm Outcomes

open access: yesAnnals of Gastroenterological Surgery, EarlyView.
Unlike deceased‐donor liver transplantation, living‐donor liver transplantation (LDLT) for Budd‐Chiari Syndrome (BCS) presents distinctive challenges in hepatic venous (HV)‐outflow reconstruction because diseased HV–inferior vena cava (IVC) cannot be entirely replaced with healthy donor vessels.

Exhibition of Local but Not Systemic Induced Phenolic Defenses in Vitis vinifera L. Affected by Brown Wood Streaking, Grapevine Leaf Stripe, and Apoplexy (Esca Complex)

open access: yesPlants, 2019
Balance between constitutive and induced responses provides plants flexibility to cope with biotic stresses. This study tested the hypothesis that invasion of grapevine wood by esca-associated fungi induces the production of defensive compounds as part ...
