Management of patients with transvalvular right ventricular leads undergoing transcatheter tricuspid valve interventions: a scientific statement of the European Heart Rhythm Association and the European Association of Percutaneous Cardiovascular Interventions of the ESC endorsed by the Heart Rhythm Society, the Asian Pacific Heart Rhythm Society and the Canadian Heart Rhythm Society. [PDF]
Up to one-third of patients referred for transcatheter tricuspid valve intervention (TTVI) have a transvalvular pacemaker (PPM) or implantable cardioverter-defibrillator (ICD) lead in place.

Sex-Related Differences in Clinical Characteristics and Outcome Prediction Among Patients Undergoing Transcatheter Tricuspid Valve Intervention. [PDF]
BACKGROUND Men and women differ regarding comorbidities, pathophysiology, and the progression of valvular heart diseases. OBJECTIVES This study sought to assess sex-related differences regarding clinical characteristics and the outcome of ...

ABSTRACT This paper tackles one key limitation in the analysis of Iron Age communities in the Northwestern Iberian Peninsula: the limited exploration of areas beyond the fortified settlements known as castros (hillforts). The vast majority of archaeological studies have focused exclusively on the areas inside the walls of these settlements, which are ...

Revisiting tricuspid regurgitation: Historical insights and emerging research perspectives
Tricuspid regurgitation (TR), once seen as benign, is now recognized as a serious and increasingly prevalent condition linked to aging and better imaging. Its association with greater morbidity and mortality has shifted clinical perspectives towards early diagnosis and intervention.

Advances in transcatheter mitral and tricuspid therapies
Background While rheumatic mitral stenosis has been effectively treated percutaneously for more than 20 years, mitral and tricuspid regurgitation treatment appear as a contemporary unmet need.

Background Functional tricuspid regurgitation (TR) after previous left‐sided valve surgery (LSVS) represents a significant proportion of all isolated TR cases; tricuspid valve reoperation in such patients, often in the advanced stage of disease, is historically regarded as high‐risk.

The TAPSE/SPAP ratio is associated with worse prognosis in patients with significant tricuspid regurgitation and could indicate at‐risk patients. The exact cutoff value for RV‐PA uncoupling remains difficult to define and in available studies ranged from 0.26 to 0.49 mm/mmHg.
