FUS Selectively Facilitates circRNAs Packing into Small Extracellular Vesicles within Hypoxia Neuron

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This study aimed to unravel the role of FUS in the loading of functional circRNAs into neuronal sEVs under hypoxic conditions, which involves their aggregations in SGs and specific interaction between the FUS Zf_RanBP domain to regulate circRNA sorting in sEVs.

Tunable mechanical properties of the graphene/MoS2 tubal van der Waals heterostructure [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2018
We propose a tubal van der Waals heterostructure by rolling up the graphene and MoS2 atomic layers into a tubal form. We illustrate that the interlayer space for the tubal van der Waals heterostructure can be varied in a specific range, which is determined by the competition between the interlayer van der Waals force and the mechanical properties of ...

Genome‐Wide Silencer Screening Reveals Key Silencer Modulating Reprogramming Efficiency in Mouse Induced Pluripotent Stem Cells

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This study utilized Ss‐STARR‐seq to construct a genome‐wide silencer map of mouse cells and elucidated the fundamental characteristics of these silencers. These silencers exist in a cell‐specific manner and exhibit unique epigenetic modifications. Through functional experiments, we also discovered that these silencers can regulate gene expression and ...

Constrained low-tubal-rank tensor recovery for hyperspectral images mixed noise removal by bilateral random projections [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2019
In this paper, we propose a novel low-tubal-rank tensor recovery model, which directly constrains the tubal rank prior for effectively removing the mixed Gaussian and sparse noise in hyperspectral images. The constraints of tubal-rank and sparsity can govern the solution of the denoised tensor in the recovery procedure.

Artesunate Inhibits Neointimal Hyperplasia by Promoting IRF4 Associated Macrophage Polarization

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This study shows that macrophage interferon regulatory factor 4 (IRF4) improved arterial injury‐induced neointimal hyperplasia by promoting of M2 polarization via up‐regulating krüppel‐like factor 4 (KLF4) in rodent and nonhuman primate models. Notably, artesunate is identified as a potent inducer of IRF4 in macrophages, and proposed as a promising ...

Is Previous Tubal Ligation a Risk Factor for Hysterectomy because of Abnormal Uterine Bleeding?

open access: yesOman Medical Journal, 2012
Objectives: Post tubal ligation syndrome (PTLS) is a term used to describe a variety of post tubal ligation side effects or symptoms. These include increased menstrual bleeding and hysterectomy. Whether or not post tubal syndrome is a real entity, it has

Dynamics of Cell Fate Decisions during Chemically Induced Multi‐Lineage Trans‐Differentiation at Single‐Cell Level

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A critical aspect of chromosomal remodeling in small molecule‐induced multilineage trans‐differentiation(iMT) is elucidated. A dynamic atlas spanning over 35 days profiles terminal trans‐differentiated cells, which reverted to a more youthful state. This study reveals parallels between iMT and other cell fate determination processes, emphasizing an ...

Low-Tubal-Rank Tensor Recovery via Factorized Gradient Descent [PDF]

open access: yesIEEE Transactions on Signal Processing, Year:2024, Volume: 72, Pages: 5470 - 5483
This paper considers the problem of recovering a tensor with an underlying low-tubal-rank structure from a small number of corrupted linear measurements. Traditional approaches tackling such a problem require the computation of tensor Singular Value Decomposition (t-SVD), that is a computationally intensive process, rendering them impractical for ...

Artificial Contraception is Associated With Increased Numbers of Induced Abortions [PDF]

open access: yes, 2001
Since the sexual revolution, it has been a widely accepted fact that contraceptives have been a necessity for our society. They seem to be the best way to prevent unwanted pregnancies that would otherwise result from sexual unions between two people ...

Knowledge And Perception of Women Regarding Bilateral Tubal Ligation In Southwest Nigeria

open access: yes, 2016
Bilateral tubal ligation (BTL) is a procedure considered as permanent, although sometimes reversible, it is seen as a highly effective method of contraception.
