Taurocholic Acid Is Associated With Disturbed Functional Connectivity in the Hippocampus of Patients With Depression

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This study identifies elevated taurocholic acid (TCA) in Major Depressive Disorder patients. Gut microbiome‐associated TCA impairs hippocampal neurogenesis, triggers microglia activation, and elicits depression‐like behavior in mice via the S1PR2. In patients, functional neuroimaging reveals that serum TCA levels correlate with altered functional ...

Fertility outcome analysis after surgical management of tubal ectopic pregnancy: a retrospective cohort study

open access: yesBMJ Open, 2015
Objectives To compare the subsequent fertility and risk of recurrence of an ectopic pregnancy (EP) in women who had had an EP, according to the type of surgical treatment they received—that is, salpingectomy, salpingostomy or tubal anastomosis. Methods A

Endometrial Assembloid Model Reveals Endometrial Gland Development Regulation by Estradiol‐Driven WNT7B Suppression

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This study developed a 3D endometrial assembloid model to study how uterine glands form and develop. They discovered key interactions between different cell types and identified WNT7B as a regulator controlled by estradiol‐mediated TGFβ1‐VDR interaction.

Decoding Human Placental Cellular and Molecular Responses to Obesity and Fetal Growth

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Women with obesity often deliver large‐for‐gestational‐age (LGA) infants. Single‐nucleus RNA sequencing of term placenta reveals that hypoxia and TNF‐α signaling in syncytiotrophoblasts are featured in maternal obesity, but inflammatory signatures in Hofbauer cells and response to lipid or carbohydrate metabolism in fibroblasts are specific to LGA.

Tubal ectopic pregnancy.

open access: yesClinical evidence, 2015
INTRODUCTION Approximately 1/100 pregnancies are ectopic, with the conceptus usually implanting in the fallopian tube. Some ectopic pregnancies resolve spontaneously, but others continue to grow and lead to rupture of the tube.
