Tubal Ligation and Pregnancy: Mechanism of Recanalization After Tubal Ligation

Fertility and Sterility, 1975
The mechanism of recanalization after resection of a segment of the fallopian tube by the Pomeroy sterilization method is discussed. At the level of resection, the epithelial lining of the fallopian tube tends to regenerate, covering the split ends and planes of cleavage of the resected surfaces and forming slitlike spaces and blind pouches lined by ...

Fluoroscopically guided transcervical fallopian tube recanalization of post-sterilization reversal mid-tubal obstructions

CardioVascular and Interventional Radiology, 2000
To assess the technical success and early outcome of fluoroscopically guided transcervical fallopian tube recanalization (FTR) in mid-tubal occlusion following sterilization reversal surgery. From July 1995 to January 1998, patients with greater than 12 months secondary infertility underwent hysterosalpingography (HSG).

Tubal Obstruction after Ligation Reversal Surgery: Results of Catheter Recanalization

Radiology, 1999
To evaluate the role of transcervical fallopian tube catheterization in restoring tubal patency after ligation reversal surgery.Twenty-four women with tubal obstruction after ligation reversal surgery underwent selective salpingography and tubal recanalization.Patency was established in 26 (68%) of 38 anastomotic tubes without complication.

[Transcervical salpingography and tubal recanalization].

Zhonghua fu chan ke za zhi, 1994
The results of transcervical salpingography and tubal recanalization by means of modified Thurmond and Rösch's technique were reported. Proximal tubal obstruction was diagnosed in 20 infertile women by X-ray hysterosalpingography and/or laparoscopy.
